Everyone meet Remy — a 2-year-old Appendix Quarter Horse gelding who recently arrived straight off the track and is ready to get to work! Long legs, big dreams, and a whole lot of potential.

Remy is joining us to build the kind of solid foundation that’ll set him up for a wonderful career as a hunter jumper and family horse. We have a feeling he’s going to be something special. 🌟

What a journey it’s been the last 3 years. Today is Krista Johnson Horsemanship’s 3 Year Anniversary!!! We are so blessed to serve Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio. The best part of all of this is seeing my clients and their horses successfully meet their goals and for clients becoming like family. We sincerely appreciate everyone who has supported us in any way. We feel blessed to be settled in at Vigue Equine in Augusta, Michigan. The best is yet to come and we’re ready for the ride.

When we started this dream, we could have never imagined the incredible community that would grow around it. Serving Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio has been one of the greatest honors of our lives — and it only keeps getting better.

The best part? Watching clients and their horses reach goals they once only dreamed of. Seeing strangers become family. Witnessing those breakthrough moments in the arena that remind us exactly WHY we do this. 🙌

We are beyond grateful to be settled into our home at Vigue Equine in Augusta, Michigan — what a special place to do what we love.

To every single person who has supported us — whether you’ve trained with us, cheered us on, shared our name, or simply believed in us — THANK YOU. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. 🤍

One of my favorite — and hardest — parts of this job is saying goodbye. Yesterday we sent Blue home, and while it was bittersweet, it was also a full-heart kind of moment.

Watching him and Liz together reminded me exactly why I do what I do. They are going to be incredible. Blue, you will be so missed around here. Liz, I can’t wait to see where you two go from here. 🐴💙

Goose’s first saddling with me and he handled it like a champ. 🐴 He was good with the saddle… until I asked for the canter — which is pretty normal for a young horse being started. But he worked through it, and honestly? I’m SO excited about this little cow pony. Big things ahead. 🤠

We’re RIDING! 🐴✨

Ride 2 with Blue and we were working on upward and downward transitions — and honestly? This is where the magic starts.
Notice how Blue eases into the trot instead of just launching into it? That’s not an accident. That’s him listening, searching for the right answer, and committing when he’s ready. You can see him offer it a few times before he fully steps into it.

The quality of your transition = the quality of your gait. A smooth ask = a smooth response.

And that stop at the end? Yeah. He’s getting it. 🙌
