Foster Milo: Mr Stubborn Boy spent the afternoon with me delivering Christmas Treat trays to a few friends and businesses. He is always so good in the car! Though I think by our 7th stop he was getting annoyed and decided he’d drive and take us home??? Humane Society of Amherst County

Foster Milo: we’ve been working on “toy play” here because Milo didn’t know how to do that and would grab Rivers face or neck, so we’re doing much better! And how were we able to teach him??? With my favorite- the sq**rt bottle!! I’ve never had this issue and I tried yelling at him to stop or grabbing him and holding his mouth but none of it worked. Now I hold the sq**rt bottle and if he lets go of the toy and goes to grab River, one quick sq**rt and he doesn’t! I’m seriously amazed at how well the bottle works Humane Society of Amherst County

Foster Milo: Here are the pups getting turkey, pumpkin and green beans added to their dinner tonight! It’s incredible how far Milo has come in a week with us- I couldn’t keep him off the counter and DEFINITELY couldn’t get him to sit and be patient for food! All the pups at the kennel got some special treats for dinner too! Picture in the comments. Humane Society of Amherst County

I’m thankful for many things this year, the biggest being able to work right on my property where my kids can come over and visit me and the pups/cats! I’ve never spent a day at the kennel where I’ve felt like I was “working”. My kids spent about an hour this morning throwing the ball outside for the pups with me 😀 the pictures below are from this morning

The next is being so thankful for all of the amazing families we’ve met through the kennel, many who have become much more than just clients in only a few months of being here.

The amount of people who have given me local recommendations for many things from restaurants to hiking trails to handyman, or brought me eggs, jellies or other things theyve made- I really am so grateful for everyone making us feel welcomed and at home! And I know there are many people we could call if we ever needed anything.

Also very thankful that we linked with the Humane Society to help find shelter dogs homes. It has been a very fun and rewarding experience to house a few dogs

We look forward to many years getting to know more people and their fur babies ♥️
