Great day in the field hunting quail behind Hilde, Ida, and Hans. The dog work was outstanding, and I was even fortunate enough to harvest a surprise rooster!

There’s no better way to start the New Year than watching great dogs do what they love. Feeling truly blessed and grateful for the dogs, the days afield, and all of the many blessings that come with it.

Back out today and the dogs showed up with their A-game again. Another 2-man limit with solid dog work and birds that cooperated nicely.

Nice to finally switch gears and get back out chasing pheasants after spending the past few weeks deer hunting. The dog work was excellent from start to finish, and the birds held tight, which made for a really enjoyable hunt. Days like this are a good reminder of why we love being in the field with these dogs.
