AW Acres CG My Lover

This isn’t an easy doe for me to post, but with college back in session and my courses getting tougher I need to lighten my load before next spring. Lover is a very sweet doe with solid genetics, a nice mammary system, and a will to milk. She’s has been shown before and has one RGCH from the 2025 Quad State Classic as well as being part of the 1st place Dam and Daughter at the 2024 & 2025 Iowa state fair. She is right at 22 1/2” so she pushes the stick but has never been turned away from a ring. Can be exposed to my buck before leaving.

The girls and I are back home from a successful week at the 2025 Iowa State Fair!

Thursday was the 4h/FFA show. AW Acres SD Storm Warning was the Champion Junior Doe and CH Two Dogs Farm KSR Twister was Reserve Champion Senior Doe.

I won Senior Showmanship in both the FFA and open show.

Friday was the open Junior doe show. AW Acres SD Storm Warning was chosen again as the Grand Champion Junior Doe.

Saturday was the Senior doe show. The girls performed amazingly with multiple top placings and CH Two Dogs Farm KSR Twister won Reserve Grand Champion again. We also had the 1st place Dam and Daughter, 1st place Produce of Doe, 1st place Breeders Trio, and 2nd place Dairy Herd.

I’m so proud of everything my girls were able to accomplish over the week. I couldn’t have asked for a better way to finish out our show season!

The goats and I made it back last night from a very long but very exciting week at the ADGA Nationals in Grand Island, NE! I brought 6 does along with me to show in some extremely competitive Nigerian Dwarf classes. The week started with volunteering for vet check where I got to see some beautiful animals up close and meet dairy goat people from all across the country. Saturday afternoon I competed in the judging and management contest and placed 3rd in Senior Dairy Goat Management! Senior showmanship didn’t go exactly as I had hoped but I still placed 14th in a competitive class of 30+ showmen. I also got to compete in the fitting contest and represent the Iowa Dairy Goat Association alongside fellow former and current IDGA Youth Ambassadors!

The Nigerian Dwarf show was Monday and Tuesday. My juniors didn’t make the cut but I’m still so proud of how they looked and behaved in the ring! Tuesday was the senior show, I came in with pretty low expectations but was pleasantly surprised. CH(pending) Two Dogs Farm KSR Twister made the cut and placed 19th in the 3yr old class out of 70+ animals! Twister is a beautiful doe and I feel so blessed to have her in my herd.

It’s a pretty well-known fact that the dairy goat community is unlike any other, the camaraderie and support are truly unmatched. The people in Grand Island proved that to be true. The week may have been long and tiring, but spending it with hundreds of others who share the same love for dairy goats was something special.

Congratulations to everyone that had a successful week in Grand Island! Hope to see you all in Massachusetts in 2026!

Tina is a really promising young doe that I believe will blossom after another freshening! She placed extremely well as a junior and even went BJDIS at the Pioneer Classic Dairy Goat Show. She is only available because I need to cut some does before going back to school in the fall. She is stand trained and has been both machine and hand milked.

We attended the Quad State Classic Dairy Goat Show this past weekend. The girls held their own in some extremely competitive classes and AW Acres CG My Lover even ended up winning Reserve Champion Senior Doe under Judge Ed Jodlowski! I also competed in advanced showmanship and was chosen as the Champion Advanced Showman.

We always love attending this show and getting to spend time with our amazing goat show family! Congrats to all of the winners this past weekend!!

We had an incredible weekend at the WDGA Badger Classic in Beaver Dam, WI. I’m extremely proud of everything that my little herd was able to achieve!

Two Dogs Farms KSR Twister was reserve grand champion senior doe under judge Todd Biddle. She then was awarded Grand Champion and Best of Breed under Judge Katie Wolf Jackson, this win means that Twister is officially the first permanent champion in our herd!

AW Acres WMR Rainey Day was reserve grand champion senior doe under Judge Katie Wolf Jackson and Judge Jennifer Lohman-Peterson.

AW Acres SD Storm Warning was Grand Champion Junior Doe under Judge Kirt Schnipke.

AW Acres M Florence wasn’t the senior kid I had originally planned on showing this weekend but I made a last minute decision to substitute her and boy am I glad she came. She was awarded Grand Champion Junior Doe and Best Junior Doe in Show under Judge Katie Wolf Jackson!!
