Tomorrow marks 27 years to the month in the professional dog industry for me.
At 14 years old, I trained my first dog who didn’t belong to me. I had no idea that one dog (a white GSD named Casper) would become a lifelong passion and a career that would shape the next 27 years of my life.
Over the years, I have seen trends come and go. I’ve seen businesses open and close. I’ve experienced successes I never imagined and setbacks that tested me in ways I never expected.
I’ve trusted people who later betrayed that trust. I’ve been disappointed by people I cared about deeply and those moments in time sucked - but every setback taught me something, every disappointment made me stronger and every challenge pushed me to improve.
And 27 years later, I’m still here.
What has never changed is my commitment to the dogs in our care and the people who trust us with them.
As I reflect on these past years , one thing is clear: EP is not what it is because of me alone.
The core team standing beside me today has been with me for years. There is something to be said for loyalty. There is something to be said for honesty, humility, integrity, and choosing to build something together. Many of these people are no longer just employees. They are family.
To those who have stood beside me through the successes, the setbacks, the growing pains, who remained loyal when it would have been easier not to, who believed in the vision when it was still just a dream and for those who remained patient with me as I navigated some of the most challenging years of my life while also trying to maintain a business, thank you!
Without my team, Endless Pawsibilities would not be what it is today.
The lessons learned from thousands of dogs, thousands of families, and nearly 3 decades of experience cannot be bought, borrowed, copied, or rushed.
They are earned.
My standards are higher than ever, my passion is stronger than ever, and my commitment to the dogs in our care has never been greater.
So hold on to your leashes.
We’re just getting started.
