Thanks to the Hollidaysburg Public Library for allowing us to bring Coco today. She was a huge hit and we had 26 people who attended today. Coco is a two year old female and was very well behaved. She enjoyed the car ride and sat on my lap the entire time. She loves to give kisses.

The Altoona Area Public Library is showing love to all of the kitties this month!

June is National Adopt a Cat month! Stop by and check out their Cat book display in the main lobby and maybe even check out a book or two to read to your own feline friends at home!

Earlier this month, Ghost Malone, our beautiful puppy, spent her Saturday at the Altoona Area Public Library for the monthly Paws 2 Read!
She absolutely adores kids and the kids, well they absolutely adored her! Ghost Malone has proven to be a real lover and the staff and volunteers at the Central PA Humane Society adore her too!

Altoona Area Public Library Youth Room

This heartwarming program partners with the Central PA Humane Society to create a paw-some reading adventure for children of all ages.

Kids can practice reading aloud to furry friends, boosting their confidence and literacy skills, while giving adoptable pets some much-needed love and attention. It's a tail-wagging, page-turning experience for everyone involved!

Bumfuzzle met some great readers this evening at the Altoona Area Public Library’s Paws 2 Read. He heard stories about baseball, Ninja Turtles, Star Wars, frogs and dogs! He made lots of new friends and was very well behaved.
On his way back to the shelter, Bumfuzzle made a quick pitstop for a pup cup from the The Meadows Frozen Custard, Greenwood, after a fun evening with his new friends!

Bumfuzzle is available for adoption at the Central PA Humane Society! This boy could not be any sweeter and so deserving of a loving home!

The Central PA Humane Society’s adoptable peg-leg, Griffen was at the Hollidaysburg Area Public Library today for Paws 2 Read!
Griffen is a senior husky who can be described as calm-natured and loving! Griffen, though he only has 3 feet, still gets around just fine on his stump and does the things all dogs do!
If he just tugs at your heart strings like he does ours, then consider bringing Griffen home to complete your family!

Weeble wobbles, but he doesn’t fall down!

The Central PA Humane Society’s adoptable Weeble took a trip to the Bellwood-Antis Public Library today for some Paws 2 Read.
Weeble is only 4 month old and is awaiting his forever home!
Weeble is a disabled kitty, as his hind legs just don’t work quite right, but nothing slows him down!

Cruella de Vil from the Central PA Humane Society spent her Saint Patrick’s Day a little different this year!
The Altoona Area Public Library hosted another Paws 2 Read where Cruella and our irreplaceable volunteer Mary Orr got to hear stories read to them by the some of the youth.
Fingers and toe-beans crossed that Cruella finds her forever home soon! 🐾🤞🏻♥️📚
