Sweet Tomahawk brought so many smiles to our monthly Paws 2 Read event at the Altoona library. He made plenty of friends and heard some great stories! Tomahawk is the last of his littermates waiting on a home. He loved all the children that read to him, and he gets along with dogs and cats as well - he even enjoyed hearing a story about cats!

Run D.O.G. had a fabulous time at Paws To Read today and the children loved him. Everyone commented on well behaved and loving he is. Afterwards we took him on a walk and got him a pup cup at Meadows. I hope this awesome guy finds his home soon. Central PA Humane Society.

Today’s Paws to Read at Bellwood Library with Central PA Humane SocietyCentral PA Humane Society kitten Collie Flower. She was a huge hit and a very fast mover. The kids and adults all loved her. Hopefully she will find her forever home very soon. Check her out at CPHS today!

Who doesn’t love, Summer, Books, and animals!? So why not come to the Bellwood-Antis Public Library to have it all in one day!!
The Central PA Humane Society will be there!

Kids signed up in the SummerQuest are invited to collect their Official Nug Bucks prize money and go shopping in Chicken Nugget's store this Saturday (August 9th) from 10 AM-2 PM.

Re*****on had a fun evening at the Altoona Area Public Library this evening for the monthly Paws 2 Read event. He heard stories about football and surfing and learned lots of cool facts about foxes and wolves. He was a real snuggle bug and enjoyed all the love and attention from each family this evening. He even fell asleep to some belly rubs. Re*****on did a great job with all the kids and adults he met so we stopped for a pup cup on the way back to the shelter.

We have a great streak going with our monthly Paws 2 Read event. Every animal we’ve taken has since been adopted. Let’s not let Re*****on down and keep our streak going! Re*****on is available for adoption through the Central PA Humane Society. More information on this awesome guy can be found here:

***BOOM WOW WAS ADOPTED***

Sweet Mr Boom Wow had a great time at Bellwood Library this morning. This six year old pup was happy to receive all the attention these 20 or so kiddos gave him. He took treats like a gentleman, didn’t bark at all, loved all the pets, sat still while the kids read to him. He rode great in the car and was more than happy to enjoy a pup cup. What a great day. He would make a wonderful best friend for you!

***COCO WAS ADOPTED***

Thanks to the Hollidaysburg Public Library for allowing us to bring Coco today. She was a huge hit and we had 26 people who attended today. Coco is a two year old female and was very well behaved. She enjoyed the car ride and sat on my lap the entire time. She loves to give kisses.

June is National Adopt a Cat month! Stop by and check out their Cat book display in the main lobby and maybe even check out a book or two to read to your own feline friends at home!

The Central PA Humane Society’s adoptable peg-leg, Griffen was at the Hollidaysburg Area Public Library today for Paws 2 Read!
Griffen is a senior husky who can be described as calm-natured and loving! Griffen, though he only has 3 feet, still gets around just fine on his stump and does the things all dogs do!
If he just tugs at your heart strings like he does ours, then consider bringing Griffen home to complete your family!
