Lily got evaluated for a dental with Dr Hamel at Blue Cross Animal Clinic, today.

Lily has lost a lot of weight so we needed to make sure she was able to go under anesthesia.

Dr Hamel gave her the thumbs up, so it’s full speed ahead on the dental!

Yay for Lily who has been experiencing some mouth pain.

Katie is thinking about what she will use her 50/50 raffle winnings on. Probably a large bucket full of treats for herself.

Raffle proceeds support our medical fund. Just like many senior citizens, our more than 50 senior cats have complex medical needs. Cats like Katie rely on June’s for things like medications, diagnostic tests, prescription diets, and even hospitalization when needed. June's medical fund was able to provide Katie with surgery to have a granuloma removed from her neck recently, and now she's doing great! Get your tickets and please share so others can get theirs too. The live drawing will be held on Facebook on September 1.

One of our rescue partners is having a fundraiser to bring a blind cat from Texas to New Mexico.
Emi's Heart Animal Rescue helps a lot of FeLV+ cats. They have helped us many times. Please donate if you can. ❤️❤️❤️

Look who's flying from Texas to New Mexico on August 7th to stay with us until hopefully someone will want to love this guy forever. If no one does we'll have him vaccinated for f e l v and he will join our family here. He is a very lovable guy who aas a stray in acolony living on the streets. Blind and defenseless. This guy had a vet visit today he's up to date on shots, he's f e l v negative, he's now on antibiotics for his eyes and upon arriving here he will need his eyes removed. Can you please help us by donating and sharing our post to help this guy get the care he so desperately needs. Thank you!

Happy Senior Sunday ❤️

On Senior Sunday, we would like to introduce Abby, a 16-year-old cat who was surrendered to the Valencia County Shelter in Los Lunas, NM, due to her owner's health concerns.

Given the shelter's high kill rate, especially for senior felines, we knew we had to act. After receiving medical attention, Abby's bloodwork revealed stage 2 kidney disease, a common condition in older cats. Thankfully, her other test results are within normal limits.

Abby is a sweet and gentle soul who enjoys being petted but prefers the company of humans to other cats. At June's, she will find a loving and comfortable home to spend her days.
