There's nothing quite like racing home from work to go hit your own pond up.

I could barely keep my line in the water with this kid being on fire yesterday. He got me, 18-12. Around 6:30, I said, "C**t! We gotta make dinner. Dad's gonna be home in half an hour, and we won't have dinner ready. What's more important? Dinner or fishing?"

"Fishing."

"OK. We'll keep fishing then."

😆

He even stole my rod after he was "done," and I told him I wasn't leaving until my worm was gone. I caught one more at that point, and he came back over, stole my setup, got some open face "back at it practice," and finished off that worm with two more fish.

I also taught him the "Hold it out like this," trick when he caught a small bass. 😆

Now let's keep this nice weather rolling!
