After 248 Days!! The news we’ve all been waiting for: PANDA HAS BEEN ADOPTED! 🐼🎉
After being our longest-term resident, this sweet girl finally found her person this morning. She even tucked herself right in the carrier as if to say, "Okay, time to go home!"

We couldn't be happier that she’s starting her new life just in time for the New Year. We love you, Panda! Go live your best life! ❤️

We’re back—and we’re building something new to keep our cats safe! 🐾

As many of you know, we were locked out of our page for three weeks. It was a scary wake-up call. We realized that if we are only on Facebook, a single glitch can cut us off from the people who help us save lives.

To make sure that never happens again, we’ve created a new "Digital Home Base" for Akron Rescue Cats on Substack.

We know this might feel new and a little confusing at first, but it’s the best way we’ve found to share our cats’ stories directly with those of you who truly want to see them.

How it works:

By signing up (it’s free!), our updates go straight to your email inbox. You won’t have to hope the Facebook algorithm shows you our posts, and you won’t have to worry about another lockout silencing us.

Why we’re doing this:

Social media is great for quick photos, but our cats, especially the seniors, the ferals, and the medical cases, have deep, complicated stories that deserve more than just a quick scroll. This new space allows us to share those longer updates, foster diaries, and behind-the-scenes moments directly with our core team.

We aren’t leaving Facebook! We’ll still be here. But this ensures we always have a direct line to you, no matter what happens here.
