Just returned from another drop off of the recycled plastic we are collecting in order to get another bench from Trex. This time it was a total of 74 # of plastic!

This was so much that my entire Subaru Outback was packed to the gills with 10 extra large trash bags of plastic. We have collected 233 # in just 2.5 months and we needed to have 80 # a month to get to the 100 # goal in 12 months.

Lots of thanks to everyone for helping us work towards our goal. And we can do this every 12 months for another bench so keep it coming!

Sometime in the last 24 hours, somebody walked off with the 2 x 2 x 2 toy box that was on the small dog side. If anybody knows who may have taken it, please let us know, but this is all paid for by donations and volunteers and I do not appreciate people taking things that do not belong to them. The cameras are going up soon.

If you’re going to PorchRokr today, stop by the BARC booth on Casterton where we have freshwater and dog cookies for our four-legged friends and pick up a pamphlet about the Dog Park. Remember, we are a volunteer organization, run with donations from our kind and generous visitors.!

Amanda Miller who has been a part of the BARC Park family will unfortunately be leaving the board position of Secretary, due to family circumstances.

She worked tirelessly keeping the park going forward during the pandemic and her little bio stories about our pet visitors were always enjoyed.

We wish her well and as time permits, we hope to still see her and have her volunteer.

Thanks to Blue’s mom
And dad Theresa and Tom who helped with weeding in the small
Dog side yesterday. If everyone who visits regularly would take 10-15 minutes and help pull weeds would could keep things under control.
