Busy, busy days — but here is the recap. Brittany Jamison Dressage went to Stable View Spring Fever ....

Brittany took Lukie, also know as Luchador XV in the arena as his owner, Jane Reilly Mount, is on the injured list. This very special Lusitano came to us three years ago as a trail horse with very few buttons (including no proper canter ask). But he emerged last weekend from the arena as an FEI horse — having gained his scores at PSG. We are so proud of this horse: his progress and work ethic is amazing. Not too mention sensible, safe and always steady eddie.

Emma Hartley came out on Poppy, owned by Lyn Langford, did EQ and T-3 earning this team their first scores towards Regionals.

Shannon and Charly Brown went 4-1 both days, with Shannon gaining her first score towards her Silver Medal and just barely missing a second score — while Charly displayed some creative choreography during test day 2.

Faith and Argon 18, owned by Lauren Perreault, secured a spot at Regionals in their first-ever freestyle designed by Three Wishes Freestyles.

It was an amazing weekend.

Savanna is a 15 year old 16.1 Friesian mare. This lovely girl is offered for on farm half or full lease. She is kind, dependable and forgiving. Most of her life has been trail riding and being an exceptional mother. She is currently schooling 1st level. If you are looking for a horse to fuss on for hours, take on a trail one day and in a ring the next, or to get some confidence Savanna is your girl!

:: update:: hes been found!
Our sweet barn kitty, Oreo, has been missing for 2 days. He's the shy one and could be hiding after the commotion of horses moving to the other side of the property. But his brother is so very sad! Please keep your eyes out for him!!!

A big photo dump of our Christmas Party at Brittany Jamison Dressage, a potluck complete with Secret Santa and hand-crafted stockings. It was wonderful to put all the barn people in one room to celebrate a successful year. Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas. Onward to 2026!

"As the owner of Brittany Jamison Dressage, and the caretaker of 25 horses, I am very thankful that Aiken Saddlery carries the Equine Elixirs product line.

I started using Crackdown when my competition horse had to have his foot resected due to a terrible case of white line. Not only did his feet grow twice as fast as usual....he also grew more mane and tail then he ever has. My folliclely challenged horse now has lovely locks! After that, we added 3 more horses to the Crackdown list.

Next, we have a little mare who is shown by my 11 year-old young rider. She is a wonderful but, spicy animal. Her "mare flair" can get a little strong at times, however a combo of Equine Elixirs Positude and Calmakazi, has made her pony perfection!

On top of that we have added Equine Elixirs Chug to our must have show supply list. Just like its name...it will encourage the worst show drinker to "chug" back a full bucket.

I love these products, because they actually work! Huge thanks to Aiken Saddlery for adding them to their product offerings, and at competitive prices!"

I guess it’s time to talk about the virus, which started in Texas, and has spread to Florida, Louisiana, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, South Dakota and Washington state, and is very likely to be arriving at our front door. So here are some things to know — and to do — in the coming weeks and months.

The EHV-1 virus is a very contagious. It cannot harm people but it can cause EHM in horses. EHM, or Equine Herpesvirus Myeloencephalopathy, is a severe neurological disease in horses that can result in death. And while humans cannot get this virus, or the disease it causes, we can very significantly add to its spread.

This is why it is generally bad form to touch horses that are not your own, without the owner’s permission. This is an airborne illness. You can spread it by simply touching an affected horse and then petting another. Keep this in mind as we enter fox hunting season, show season, polo season and more.

If you are participating in these great events, be aware that not only can your hands spread it — so can your boots, tack, gloves, and more. Do not share buckets, pitchforks, halters, lead ropes or equipment.

Our intention is not to spread panic, but to remind everyone that it’s always good to practice best bio security in our every day lives. EHV is a reportable virus and we will continue to closely monitor it.

Aiken is obviously a large hub for horses and horse sports, so extra caution is advised. Have a wonderful holiday.
