🎉 Weekly Adoption Update! 🎉

This past week was a busy one at the SPCA Albrecht Center!

50 new arrivals found their way to us (32 cats, 18 dogs) 🐱🐶

52 happy goodbyes sent pets off to their forever homes (33 cats, 19 dogs) 💕

Special shoutout to our long-term residents Lune, Sprintz, and Moxie — all of whom came to us back in May and finally got their happy endings this week. 🥳

🐾 Adoption Special: All cats & kittens are JUST $40 this week!
*Carrier not included. Batteries not required. Genuine mischief sold separately. Void where prohibited.

🍻 Noble had himself a great day at Good Girl Brewing Co today! He made friends, soaked up some sun & attention, and showed off just how handsome and charming he is. 🥰

Noble’s a young pup already proving he’s as smart as he is sweet. He’s never met a stranger, loves other dogs, and has the perfect balance of adventure buddy and couch potato. Whether it’s a trail walk or a movie night, he’s totally in.

Noble’s next chapter could be with you! 📖🐾

🐾 Who will be Aiken’s Top Dog? 🐾

Our first-ever peer-to-peer fundraising competition is heating up! 🐶✨ Local pups have been campaigning for weeks to earn your votes, raise funds, and support the lifesaving mission of the SPCA Albrecht Center for Animal Welfare. 💙

Every vote = $1 = vital support for homeless pets in need. From food and medical care to love and second chances — your support makes it all possible.

🏆 Voting is open through August 31st and the top 15 fundraisers will compete for the crown at on October 4th! The Top Dog even gets their own custom craft beer on the menu! 🍻🐕

Let’s make this more than a fundraiser — let’s make it a tradition that saves lives. 🐾❤️

Toffee (now Remi Jo) was once a shy girl curled up in our shelter kennels. Now? She’s got two brothers, a favorite couch, a backyard to patrol, and a family who loves her!💛

Her adopter tells us, “She’s come out of her shell and loves her brothers! She’s decided her favorite place is on the couch but she also loves the backyard. She’s still not too sure about the vacuum cleaner but we’re working on it... It’s like she’s always been part of our family.”

From scared and uncertain to so completely loved — this is what adoption does!

Right now, 49 local dogs are in the race to be crowned Aiken’s Top Dog. And while only one pup will take the crown, every vote brings us closer to saving lives🐾

This first-ever fundraiser is more than a fun competition. Every dollar raised helps us care for the animals who walk through our doors every single day. And this year? There are more of them than ever before.

💥Right now, Kai and Hoss are neck-and-neck for the top spot, and we’re at 77% of our $10,000 goal. Every vote counts. Every dollar helps. Every animal benefits.

The top 15 fundraisers will compete on October 4th for the title of and the winner gets their very own craft beer on tap Good Girl Brewing Co plus lots of other goodies!

Funds from this campaign directly support the animals in our care — from the moment they arrive at our doors, often scared, sick, or injured, to the day they find a loving home. That means intake exams, food and clean bedding, medical care, daily enrichment, spay/neuter surgery, microchipping, and everything in between. Every dollar raised helps us give each pet a fighting chance at the life they deserve❤️
