Kia ora everyone,
Effective immediately, we will pause accepting trials for casual big dogs. Any trials already booked in will go ahead as planned. At The Barking Lot, we have always prioritized ensuring dogs have an enjoyable and enriching experience at daycare, and we are reaching capacity for the number of big dogs we can have on site at the moment.
For big dog owners looking for consistent daycare (regular days each week) feel free to reach out to organize trials, as regular dogs are easier to accommodate than casual dogs who only come in every so often and are less familiar with our other big dogs and the environment.
On a related note, if you are the owner of a larger dog (think border collie size or up) or you know your dog goes with big dog crews, please keep an eye on your email and text messages after requesting a daycare slot with us. If we are full and unable to accommodate your dog for the requested day, we will let you know via email and/or text.
Additional reminder that we have a no-show fee. If you make a daycare booking and don’t show up without notifying us, you will be charged for that day of daycare. Please let us know if you cannot make it so we can offer your slot to someone else, as we have limited capacity.
