PORIRUA, WE'RE HEADING YOUR WAY!

We're turning THREE, and what better way to celebrate than with puppy cuddles, giveaways and a whole lot of fun!

This Saturday, we're teaming up with Animates Porirua and Resene Porirua for TWO fantastic events happening at the same time!

Just LOOK at my glow-up photos!

Not only am I looking absolutely fabulous, but no longer having sore, uncomfortable eyes has completely changed my life! And it's all thanks to Corporate Cleaners, who generously sponsored my surgery. I can't thank them enough for giving me a new lease on life!

But wait... I've got some VERY exciting news to share...

I have an adoption meeting booked for this weekend!

Could this be the start of my happily ever after? Keep your fingers crossed and wish me luck.

Hello everyone, it’s me, Zero!

You might remember me as the handsome boy who needed emergency surgery after eating a purple toy. Yep, that was me. Not my finest moment, I'll admit!

But I'm pleased to report that since my little incident, I've been an absolute angel! So much so that my foster mum decided it was only fitting that I dress up as an angel for Halloween.

My foster brother, on the other hand, had to dress up as a lion. I'm not entirely sure what that says about him… but I won't ask questions.

Anyway, while I've got your attention, I thought I'd give you a little update on how I'm doing!

My tummy is still figuring things out after my surgery, and my poops haven't been quite perfect. My amazing foster mum has been working closely with my lovely vet team to get everything back on track. Hopefully that's not too much information… but we're all friends here, right?

Now, onto something much more exciting…

I'M STILL LOOKING FOR MY FOREVER HOME!

And quite frankly, I'm not sure why there hasn't been a queue out the door for me yet.

I'm a handsome, clever boy with fantastic basic obedience skills. I'm crate trained, toilet trained, great in the car and absolutely love people and other dogs!

I mean, what more could you possibly want? Good looks, brains, charm AND an angelic personality? I'm practically the whole package.

So, if you've got a Zero-shaped space in your heart and home, I'd really love to hear from you.

Soul is a gorgeous, 5 month old, Staffy X with a big personality, and plenty of love to give!

Wondering which little cutie she is? She's the girl on the left, rocking the purple harness and sporting those fabulous bat-like ears.

Soul is a fun-loving, active girl who believes life is all about three things: toys, food and FUN! Balls are a particular favourite, and when she's not busy playing, you'll likely find her exploring the garden, investigating the bushes or hunting down her next adventure.

She's also quite the little chatterbox! Soul isn't afraid to voice her opinions, so her future family can expect plenty of entertaining conversations. But underneath all that puppy enthusiasm is an affectionate little girl who absolutely loves a good cuddle.

Soul is a confident, sociable pup who gets along beautifully with other dogs, including the older dog in her foster home. Although she and her sisters are now living in separate foster homes, they still love catching up for a good old-fashioned puppy playdate! She's also great with children, although her compatibility with cats is currently unknown.

This clever little cookie is already toilet and crate trained! Of course, being just five months old, she's still learning her manners, keeping those little puppy teeth to herself and discovering that not everything in the house is a chew toy.

Soul would suit a range of loving homes that can offer her plenty of adventures, playtime, cuddles and ongoing training. As she's still young, she'll also need a family who can limit her alone time to short periods while she builds her confidence and independence.

If you're looking for a four-legged best friend with ears that could pick up satellite signals, a personality that'll keep you laughing and a whole lot of love to give, Soul might just be your perfect match!

A PARTNERSHIP THAT TRULY GIVES BACK!

At the beginning of this year, we were contacted by an Australian dog food company preparing to launch in New Zealand. Little did we know just how much of an impact this partnership would have on our rescue.

That company was SavourLife, and to say they've made a difference to our year would be an understatement!

For those who haven't heard of SavourLife, they're an Australian dog and cat food company with a pretty incredible mission. They donate 50% of their profits to animal rescue charities, helping organisations just like ours continue doing what we love most: giving dogs a second chance at life.

It's a business model that genuinely gives back, and one we think deserves a whole lot of recognition!

Since joining forces earlier this year, we've been fortunate enough to receive over $2,500 in financial contributions and donated dog food. For a not-for-profit, entirely volunteer-run rescue like ours, that support makes an enormous difference. Every dollar and every bag of food helps us care for the dogs who come through our doors.

Reggie is a handsome, 14 week old, male, Border Collie X Shar Pei.

Good with dogs: Yes.
Good with cats: Yes.
Good with children: Yes.
Alone time: Short periods while young.

Reggie’s foster writes:

Reggie is one smart pup, and he's going to make a very special addition to someone's forever family! He's already crate trained, fully toilet trained and has been well socialised with other dogs, cats and farm animals. He's even taught himself how to use the cat door!

Reggie and his brother Timmy are the best of friends! They're constantly playing together, cuddling up to sleep and looking to each other for confidence as they explore the world.

Reggie absolutely LOVES everyone! He's wonderful with people and other dogs, although he's still learning a few boundaries when it comes to his excitement. He's also great around cats and farm animals, respectfully keeping his distance and generally paying them little attention.

Reggie is a medium-energy boy who is already learning his basic obedience commands. He's still working on his leash manners, jumping up and learning which things are appropriate to chew. With his intelligence, food motivation and eagerness to learn, he'll be a rewarding companion for a family keen to continue his training.

Reggie is going to be a big boy, so his ideal home would be an active one with plenty of opportunities to play, explore and continue learning. Most importantly, he's looking for a family who will welcome him inside, give him a safe and cosy place to sleep and make him a much-loved member of the household.
