Last weekend was busy for our Norwest crew with many competing both days and also running our Norwest Champ show on Sunday. Congrats to everyone that came along and gave it a go, and to those who placed in their tests.

We’d also like to thank all of our helpers on Sunday, we really appreciate you giving up your day to set-up, take entries, sell raffle tickets, help in the kitchen, be stay stewards and hot scents, and pack up at the end of the show! What an awesome club we are! 🐾🐹

END OF TERM BREAK

Where has the year gone, we can't be at the end of Term 3 already! 😱

Just a reminder there is no training on Monday 28th July.

Term 4 will kick-off on Monday 4th August

Just a reminder that we are still gratefully accepting donations for our raffle.
We'll have tickets for sale on Monday night so bring along some cash - $2/ticket or $5 for 3 tickets.
You don't need to be at the Champ show to win, if your ticket is drawn we will bring the gift basket back to club for you 😃

** HELP! RAFFLE DONATIONS WANTED **

We're in need of donations for the fundraiser raffle that will be drawn at our obedience championship show on Sunday 27th July (to be held at the DogsNZ grounds, Ardmore).

Items can be big or small, and don't need to be dog related. Di will make up lovey gift baskets with the donations so anything from wet wipes to hand soap, tinned dog food to homemade marmalade, or dog treats to bottles of wine will be gratefully accepted. All we ask is if you're donating food please check that it's not expired

If you'd like to donate something please bring it along to training and pass it on to your instructor.

We'll have raffle tickets available to purchase the week before the show.

A small contingent of Norwest members travelled to Rotorua last weekend to compete in RallyO. There were 4 shows held over 2 days, requiring lots of brain power for handlers to learn the courses!

Well done to everyone who competed, including those not listed below. While we only mention placings in this post there were many more qualifying rounds that count towards dogs gaining their RallyO titles with DogsNZ 🐾

REMINDER - No training on Mon 7th July

Our awesome group of volunteer trainers are being treated to a 'train the trainers' session on Monday night, so we will not be holding our regular classes.

Congratulations to Sophie & Flirt on a great weekend at the Hawera indoor Agility and Jumpers champ show.

They came away with a 4th in intermediate, 4th in novice and a 2nd in novice! Well done team👏🐾

*** TRAINING CANCELLED - Monday 9 June ***

All classes are cancelled tonight EXCEPT for the new entrants who are attending for their talk in the clubrooms (without dogs).

The grounds are very wet after the rain last night and today, and there are more nasty showers forecast.

Stay warm and dry and we'll see you next week!
