Every pet has that one thing they do that makes us laugh, sigh, or say, “Really? Again?” 😆
Maybe your dog acts like they haven’t eaten in 47 years… five minutes after dinner.
Maybe your cat screams at a closed door, then refuses to walk through it once it’s open.
Maybe your pet has a favourite sleeping position that makes absolutely no sense.

This beautiful kingfisher was brought into the clinic after an unfortunate run-in with a cat. Thankfully, the owner acted quickly and brought the bird straight to us for treatment — exactly the kind of response that gives wildlife the best chance of recovery. 👏💙

After a thorough check-up, we bandaged an injured wing, started antibiotics, and settled our feisty patient into recovery. Judging by the strength of his grip on our nurse's finger (and his absolute refusal to let go 😅), he's still got plenty of fight left in him!

We're hopeful that with some rest, medication, and TLC (time, love and care), he'll be ready to be brought to a bird rescue. 🤞✨

A friendly reminder to everyone, our local rescue can always do with donations to help keep the wildlife, like this little fisher, fed and supported during their recovery.

It is commonly normal if your dog:
