Hey this cat adopted from me in late 2022 has been found alive and well in Bayview and is being looked after by a lady who would love to keep him. He was desexed and microchipped in November 2022 but microchip details remain in updated.
If he’s yours please get in touch!

Thanks.

🚨 URGENT NOTICE 🚨

It is with deep concern that we inform you of a significant parvovirus outbreak in Auckland, with six confirmed cases reported today. To safeguard the well-being of our beloved pets, your collaboration during this critical period is essential.

Recognising the common symptoms of severe vomiting, profuse, often bloody diarrhea, and lethargy is vital. If you observe any of these signs, please remain in your car upon arrival and promptly inform us.

Importantly, parvovirus is preventable through vaccination. Starting at $70 for puppies and $75 for adults, our vaccination services are a key defense against this potentially devastating disease. Ensuring your pets are up-to-date on vaccinations is not just a precaution; it's a commitment to their long-term health and happiness.

For clients with symptomatic dogs, please note that a minimum deposit of $150 is now required to cover the consultation and parvo test—critical for early detection and treatment.

We share with you a picture of Aree, one of our outpatients today. With her owners' consent, we aim to raise awareness. She is receiving subcutaneous fluids, and injectable pain relief, antinausea and antibiotics. We do not know if she will survive this.

It's crucial to mention that, currently, we don't have quarantine facilities to accommodate intensive care of these cases. Therefore, we can only treat parvovirus cases as outpatients to prevent spreading the virus to our vulnerable patients who also come to see us.

If you have any questions or concerns, please call us or email us.

Should you bring a kitten inside???

⚠️IMPORTANT INFORMATION ⚠️

Read and share ⬇️

Kitten Lady created this easy to follow guide to know what to do if you find a kitten outside. It’s important to understand that picking it up is not always the right thing to do.

Our naturally reaction is of course to want to rescue it, but there can be more than one way to do things right.

Read carefully and share on, the more people that knows what yo do the better 😻

And remeber:

1. Support your local organisations with TNR (trap-neuter-return) Its a must to prevent new kittens to be born 🙏🏽

2. Inform yourself about how you can help fostering kittens, most organisations are constantly looking for foster homes, and they are crucial to be able to rescue those who needs to be rescued 🐾

Love tabbies ❤️

Today is National Tabby Day! 😻

Here are some fun facts about tabby cats.....

Tabby is a coat pattern and there are five different types:

🐈Classic
🐈Mackerel
🐈Spotted
🐈Ticked
🐈Patched

😺Tabby cats can be a range of different colours, including brown/black, orange, black and grey. The tabby coat patter pattern is also present in many different breeds of cat.

😺Tabby cats have a characteristic 'M' mark on their heads.

😺The domestic cat's ancestors Felis sylvestris lybica were tabby, so they are the original domestic cat!

😺Cats with the tabby coat pattern are particularly well camouflaged when hunting, making them effective predators.

What's your tabby cat's name and what's his or her personality like? Let's see your tabby kitties! 😻

Two kittens ready for their forever home….

Tortoiseshell female & male tuxy.

If you would be interested in a bonded pair- e.g. if you work full time or have grown up children, these cuties would be happy to hang out with each other until you get home for dinner!

Rescued by a member of the public in November, who has spent a lot of her own time and money raising them and getting them ready for a home 👍👍

Love this haha 😂

Pretty JakJak is ready for her home…. she often comes to say hello on my bed and loves head and chin scratches.
She is one of the forgotten ones - last year’s kittens -but is still affectionate and just as deserving.
Please help us to find her a home- she will need a patient person who can give her time to adjust and bind with her.

She is used to living with other cats and dogs and is desexed and microchipped etc etc.

Adoption fee reduced for the right home 👍

Thanks
