We are off to Wingatui for Melbourne Cup Day! 🥂

18/10/2026

So pleased to pick up a winning double for two big syndicates with Pure Ch*****ne & Cocomora at Ashburton 💙

A work in progress on race day, Cocomora put it all together over the mile today, winding up late to get over the top of her rivals under a great steer by Leah Hemi.

Having his third start, Pure Ch*****ne stepped up over 1400 and delivered on the good promise he has shown. From an outside barrier, he sustained a wide run right through the line, a really tough effort with Yogesh Atchamah on board.

Congratulations to their respective ownership groups, both of these horses were purchased out of the Yearling & RTR Sales when offered by Windsor Park Stud & Ohukia Lodge and we are thrilled to get their maiden successes on the board 🥂

Miss Thunderdonk continued her tidy run of performances when fourth in the 3YO 1300m, we were all wrapped up early in the day!

Thank you to our team at home & supporters, always appreciated ⭐️

A few snaps from our Open Day yesterday! 🐎

We were treated to a beautiful Christchurch morning and enjoyed food platters and of course, a little ch*****ne! Thank you to all of our owners, supporters and new faces that came to check out our facilities and say hello to the team, both staff and horses. And of course, thank you to our Ch*****ne team for hosting our guests!🥂

A few members of our wonderful Ch*****ne team all dressed up for the South Island Racing Awards last week! 💙

A very tough CITALA collected her maiden success on the testing conditions at Phar Lap Raceway on Sunday! She was forward in the running under Jasmine Fawcett, and after being headed on the turn, kicked back to win by just shy of a length at the line 💙

This striking filly was selected by Anna & Shane at Windsor Park Stud’s Rugby, Racing & B**r Sale at Riccarton, and it was lovely to see her win in their colours as part of a big ownership group! She is our second winner by Shamexpress out of this sale, alongside stakes performer Kikimora.

Congratulations to her connections, the first of many we hope for a lightly-tried 3YO ☄️
