Meet Piggy: Big Personality, Professional Leaner, Ready for His Next Chapter ❤️
Piggy recently lost his wonderful Dad, and after such a sudden heartbreak, this very special boy needs a loving place to land.
He’s considered to be one of the most charming greyhounds in New Zealand, and he’s ready to find his next happy home!
Are you ready for a super affectionate, friendly and confident houndy?
Piggy is 7 years old (turning 8 soon), but don’t let that fool you, he is still very much ready for adventures! He’s clean, knows how to live in a house, and adapts beautifully to new environments. He’ll also amaze you with his ability to navigate the world, even though he is mostly blind.
He’s definitely not your quiet, keep-to-himself kind of greyhound. This boy has a voice! He loves company and would be happiest with either another calm, friendly/patient female dog to hang out with, or a human who works from home or is retired. He’s affectionate, curious, and the kind of houndy who just wants to be involved in whatever is going on.
There are a couple of things his new family needs to know:
* No cats, please!
* Because he is a substantial noodle horse with a serious leaning habit (we’re talking full-body, "I have decided you are furniture now" levels of leaning), he’d be best suited to a home without little kids. Older kids, 10+, would be a much better fit.
While we look for the right forever home for Piggy, we urgently need a foster home for him right now. A foster family would give him somewhere safe and loving to find his feet after losing his Dad. If you aren’t ready to adopt but want to help a houndy out, fostering Piggy would make a world of difference.
