Winter can be tough on our senior pets, but a few simple changes can make a big difference in keeping them comfortable and happy. 🐾

❄️ Keep them warm and comfortable with soft bedding and cosy spots away from draughts.

❄️ Gentle daily movement helps maintain mobility — think short walks or light play suited to their pace.

❄️ Support stiff joints with easy home access (like non-slip flooring), and keep an eye on their weight, as extra kilos can add strain.

❄️ Make sure they’re drinking enough water, even in cooler weather.

❄️ Don’t skip regular health checks — early detection is key to keeping them feeling their best. 💛

Last week we came together to plan for the next 12 months of TSV, sharing plenty of heart, honesty, ideas, and meaningful discussion along the way.

A huge thank you to our incredible team for their passion and commitment, and to our wonderful clients for allowing us to close for half the day so we could focus on growing stronger together.

Congratulations on 7 years as part of the TSV family Jess 💕

Jess first walked through the doors in her undergrad days and blew us away - so much so that we just had to keep her! She now manages the students these days, supporting others to become incredible vet pros! 💪

She has grown immensely over the years, her skillset has skyrocketed and she is an important pillar in the nursing team. She's also the mastermind behind many of our social media posts (but we took this one off her hands) 😁

Jess is an incredibly compassionate and dedicated nurse 💗. She cares deeply for her patients and can often be found dishing out TLC to in-patients. She's a strong advocate for a fear-free patient experience and adores all 4-legged creatures 🐈‍⬛🐕🐁

She also brings so much warmth and positivity to the team. Always ready with a hug, a laugh, or a bit of encouragement when it’s needed, her empathy, humour, and kindness make a real difference in the clinic. She has a natural ability to lift spirits and brighten even the busiest days.

We've seen her take on the immensely important role of becoming a mother, so now she gives her whole heart at both work and home ❤️‍🔥.

We're so grateful to have you, your hugs for the humans and endless pats for the pets Jess 🤗

Our clinic will be open **8:00am – 12:00pm only**.

Minnie has just turned 19 years old 💗

She is a wonderful example of the difference dedicated ongoing care can make in our senior pets’ lives. Her owners bring her in for monthly check-ups, where we help manage her arthritis, weight, blood pressure, and overall comfort—supporting her every step of the way to maintain the best possible quality of life.

There are so many ways we can help our older companions stay comfortable and happy well into their golden years, and Minnie is a beautiful reminder of that.
