✨ Friday Favourite - Louie ✨

Louie came to see us recently for some urinary issues, he recently has turned a bit of a corner and is doing better after some urine tests, monitoring and medication 🥰

Monitoring your cat’s urine output is very important, especially in male cats. If you see your cat straining, vocalising when trying to urinate and not being able to pass urine this can lead to quite an urgent situation. Male cats can unfortunately get blocked so don’t hesitate to give us a call if you are concerned!

Lucky for Louie, this wasn’t the case for him and he’s feeling more himself! 🤍

✨ Friday Favourite - Gin✨

Gin came to see us to have a scale and polish performed on her teeth, leaving her with sparkling pearly whites 😍

Getting regular teeth cleans and introducing dental food, teeth brushing, dental chews help promote healthy teeth and can reduce the chances of needing extractions further down the track 🦷🪥

She was the sweetest girl and enjoyed her tasty snacks post surgery! 🥰

Gryffin came to see us for a fractured tooth that had to be extracted in a dental procedure, here he is at his post op check looking so handsome! He loved the treats and was such a good boy for our nurses 🥰

‼️ WARNING - POSSIBLE DISTRESSING CONTENT - ANIMAL ABUSE ‼️

✨ Friday Favourite - Tinks / Zuko ✨

Tinks was surrendered to the SPCA after presenting with large areas of fur and skin loss, we suspected that Tinks allegedly suffered from abuse and had third degree burns from contact with hot water

Despite this abuse, Tinks was so excited to see people, he had these cute grumbles of appreciation and the sweetest puppy dog eyes that won us all over 🥺

We sedated Tinks to clip and clean the remaining fur around his affected areas so that the treatment could make direct contact with his burns to promote healing. Within 24 hours he was already making significant progress, the team at the SPCA continued cleaning and applying burn cream to his wounds and within 2 weeks were planning the next steps for his adoption 🤎

Zuko (his new name from his owner) has now been adopted and has gone to a super loving home, we love a happy ending!! 🥹🥳
