🦷 This August and September we're making it easier for you to care for your pet's smile with $200 off dental procedures.

Dental disease is one of the most common health problems seen in both dogs and cats. Unlike us, our pets often continue eating even when they're in pain, meaning dental disease can go unnoticed for a long time. In fact, it's estimated that up to 70% of cats and 80% of dogs have some level of periodontal disease by just two years of age. If left untreated, dental disease can lead to inflammation, infection, pain, and eventually tooth loss.

Signs your pet may need a dental check include:
🦷 Bad breath
🦷 Tartar on the teeth
🦷 Red or bleeding gums
🦷 Difficulty eating or chewing
🦷 Dropping food while eating
🦷 Pawing at the mouth
🦷 Reluctance to play with toys or chew treats

If you are unsure whether your pet needs a dental, call our friendly team on 09 529 2091, and we can book you and your pet in for a free dental check to assess their teeth.

✂️🐾 Did you know that overgrown nails reduce our pets mobility and comfort?

Overgrown nails can :
🐾 Cause pain when they walk
🐾 Put extra strain on joints
🐾 Increase the risk of nails breaking or tearing
🐾 Create pain if they become imbedded in the paw pad
🐾 Make it difficult for pets to walk comfortably

Regularly trimming your pet's nails is a vital part of their health and wellbeing especially as they enter their senior years. We know that sometimes it can be a mission to trim their nails.

That’s where we come in, we help to make it as stress free as posible 💙

📞 Contact us on 09 529 2091 to book your pet's next nail trim.

Myth or Fact?

"My pet doesn't need flea or tick prevention in winter." 🤔

MYTH!

Just because it's chilly doesn't mean fleas and ticks have gone on holiday.

Fleas can survive all year round. The cold may slow their life cycle but they're still more than happy to jump back onto your pet Skipping flea prevention during winter can leave your pet and home open to an unwanted flea invasion. 🏡😬

Ticks are just as tough. Some can withstand temperatures as low as -23°C!

The best protection? Keep your pet on their flea and tick prevention all year round. It's much easier to prevent an infestation than deal with one later.❤️🐶🐱
