🐾 A personal appeal from all of us at KLAWS 🐾

We are currently looking for new volunteers to join our charity shop team.

One of our busiest and most dedicated volunteers will soon be taking maternity leave, and while we are absolutely delighted for her, it does mean we urgently need some extra helping hands to keep the shop running smoothly and raising funds for the animals who depend on us.

Could you spare a few hours a week?

We would particularly love to hear from sensible, reliable animal lovers aged 18+, including students who may have some free time over the summer months.

Volunteering with KLAWS is about much more than working in a shop. Every item sold helps us continue our animal welfare work and support animals in need.

What can volunteering offer you?

🐾 Valuable work experience in retail, customer service and teamwork

🐾 Practical skills that can strengthen a CV or future job applications

🐾 The opportunity to meet like-minded people and become part of a friendly team

🐾 The satisfaction of making a real difference for local animals

🐾 First opportunity to purchase interesting items that come into the shop at very affordable prices

🐾 Occasional pet food from our stock that may be nearing its use-by date (subject to availability)

No previous experience is needed. We are simply looking for people who are dependable, willing to help and care about animal welfare.

Whether you can offer one regular shift a week or just a few hours, we would be delighted to hear from you.

If volunteering isn’t possible for you right now, please consider sharing this post. The person we’re looking for may be among your friends, family, neighbours or fellow students.

Thank you for supporting KLAWS and helping us continue our work for animals in need. ❤️🐾

🌟 SUNDAY SUCCESS STORY – GOTCHA DAY GIRL EIRA 🌟

Three years ago, Eira’s Gotcha Day marked the start of a wonderful new chapter 💚🐾

Known lovingly as Hurricane Eira 🌪️, she has spent the last three years filling her family’s life with love, laughter, adventures and plenty of personality 🥰

To celebrate her special week, Eira enjoyed exploring new places, meeting a very handsome Border Collie named Milo who left her all of a tremble 😍, and tucking into a delicious steak and chicken dinner 🍽️. There were cocktails on the lawn 🍹, her favourite Crabbie Stix 😋, and lots of quality time with Mum and Dad.

Of course, after all the excitement, it was back to helping around the house - supervising Dad spraying the shed, assisting Mum in the garden 🌿, and making sure everyone stayed in the shade and well hydrated during the warm weather ☀️💧

But behind all the fun is something even more special. As Eira’s family says, it hasn’t always been easy, but she mended a broken heart - and they simply couldn’t imagine life without her 💛

That’s the beautiful thing about rescue animals. They arrive needing a chance, and somehow end up giving us far more than we could ever give them in return 🏡🐾

Three years on, Eira is clearly living her very best life - loved beyond measure, spoiled exactly as she should be, and still keeping everyone on their toes 😂💚

Happy 3rd Gotcha Day, Eira! 🥳🎉 Here’s to many more years of adventures, treats, friendships and happy memories together 🐾💞

What a journey these beautiful souls have been on 💛

After a long trip from Ireland to the UK, we are overjoyed to say that Spot, Rosie and Sam have all safely arrived in their new homes - and our hearts are full seeing them finally getting the love and comfort they deserve.

Spot has already become the centre of attention:
“Spot has been fussed all day!! He has eaten and slept and had several walks, has been visited by friends to be admired. Lovely boy x” 🐾

Rosie, mum to the three pups who were rehomed earlier this year, has finally made it too. After everything she’s been through, she’s now safe and beginning her new chapter:
“She’s here! Bit overwhelmed but has had some food and is busy exploring” 💕

And then there’s Sam… sweet Sam. We all remember the boy who spent weeks on the run, too frightened to trust, before finally settling into foster care. Now seeing him welcomed by his new sisters in his forever home is the kind of moment that reminds us exactly why we do this 🐶

These happy endings don’t happen by accident. They are only possible because of the incredible dedication of our volunteers, fosters, transport teams, adopters, and every single supporter who donates, shares posts, offers encouragement, or simply believes in giving these dogs a second chance.

From scared and uncertain… to safe, loved and home. Thank you for helping us make these rescue stories possible.

🐾 Meet Cooper 🐾

Cooper is an extremely bright, smart, and cheeky little pup 😊

He loves playing tug of war with his older sisters and, when he’s finally exhausted, he simply loves a spot of sunbathing ☀️

This clever pup is almost fully toilet trained (he’s still a baby, so if he’s allowed to make a mistake, he might 😉)

But this clever little boy is nothing if not fully crate-trained! And when it comes to recall, you’d be hard-pressed to find his equal within 100 miles 😊

Cooper’s foster mom says he is truly dedicated and devoted to her. He wants to follow her everywhere and absolutely loves being around his humans ❤️ Although she will greatly miss this extraordinary pup, she is certain Cooper will make his future forever family incredibly happy 😊

Currently, Cooper is living with other dogs and cats, and they get along like a house on fire 🐶🐱 And if Cooper forgets for a moment that cats are friends, a simple “no” quickly reminds him to stop bugging them 😊

✅ IN FOSTER CARE - ready for adoption soon

🚨 URGENT FOSTER HOME NEEDED 🚨

Two beautiful kittens are urgently looking for a loving foster home together ❤️

They come from a feral mother cat who will be trapped, neutered, and returned as part of TNR efforts.

These little ones deserve the chance at a different life - one filled with warmth, safety, and love.

The kittens need a foster home where they can stay together, be socialised, and learn to trust people so they can grow into affectionate family pets 🐾

If you can help, or know someone who might be able to foster them, please get in touch as soon as possible. Even sharing this post could help change their future.

Thank you for caring ❤️

🌟 SUNDAY SUCCESS STORY – FOSTER FAILURES MAG & SPOOK 🌟

From tiny bottle babies 🍼 to King and Queen of the hill 👑🐾

Mag and Spook came into foster care through KLAWS when they were only a few weeks old, rescued from different places, but clearly always meant to find each other 💚

At the beginning, they were tiny, fragile little strangers… and now, nearly two years later, they completely rule the house 😂

Spook (originally Spooky!) definitely outgrew his name, while Mag keeps everyone in line like the true queen she is 👑

And maybe the best part of all? Their foster home became their forever home 🥹💛

Their adopter, one of our wonderful KLAWS volunteers, first took them in as fosters, but it didn’t take long before they became a permanent part of the family 🏡🐾

She says her partner was never really a “cat person” and absolutely didn’t want them at first… but that changed very quickly 😹 In the end, he became the one who couldn’t imagine letting them go - and now he’s fully embracing his cat dad life 😂💚

Stories like this are such a beautiful reminder of how rescue animals have a way of completely stealing our hearts ✨

✨ Thinking of adopting or fostering? Your own happy ending could be closer than you think.

✨ Still waiting… ✨

Beautiful Luna is wondering why nobody has come for her yet 💔

This gorgeous calico girl is only 6 months old and has so much love to give. Once she gets to know you, Luna becomes the ultimate cuddle companion - hopping onto your lap for pets, scratches, and cosy naps 🥰

She’s playful, affectionate, gentle, and gets along wonderfully with both cats and dogs. She loves chasing toys, enjoys being around her people, and would make such a lovely addition to a lucky home.

Luna can be a little shy at first, but beneath that is the sweetest, cuddliest girl imaginable ❤️

As a fluffy long-haired lady, she’s used to regular brushing and handles all the pampering like a champ 😊

Surely her forever family is out there somewhere?
