We have opened Kenmare Animal Rescue Association to provide a local rescue run by local people.

A little miracle happened this afternoon!!
Still turning her nose up at dog food but ham slices and bits of chicken going down a treat!!

Thanks to a huge donation from one of our supporters, help from Alice's sponsor, and using some of the donation from our friends at Wonderful World Of Border Collies. we were able to purchase a van, kit it out, and today we got our Type 2 certificate from DAFM, which means we are fully approved small animal transporters!!
Many thanks also to David Capon who helped us with the complicated paperwork , when our lack of computer skills became apparent!!😂.
It really is a dream come true for us, and we are so very grateful for all the support. 🥰

Alice is home for the weekend and has perked up alot and is much more mobile.
We're still having to hand feed her, little and often, but she's getting the nourishment she needs and is drinking plenty of water.
Thank you for all your kind messages and support for this very special little girl.
Huge thanks to all the girls at All Creatures Vet Centre for the fabulous care they are giving Alice, and to Alice's sponsor who is kindly covering her vets bills.

GREAT NEWS, ROBBIE IS RESERVED PENDING A HOMECHECK.
Hi, I'm Robbie.
I'm the fluffiest , cuddliest guy you will ever meet.
I love cuddles on the couch and I am great with other dogs and cats.
I love playing and going for walks.
I'm a gentle little guy, and I'm good with children too.
I walk well on the lead,and am house and crate trained.
I'm 18 months old, neutered and everything is up to date incl rabies vax.
My only problem is I am a bit shy and nervous meeting new people so I sometimes growl to show I'm scared. After a few minutes I get brave and become your best friend, I just need a little time to warm up! I'm working on this with my foster family.
I'm used to being in the countryside, so a rural home would suit best.

After a tough week, it was great to get this update about Patrick, now called Ned, from his lovely new owner Helen.

Alice is home for the weekend, still doesn't want to eat, but has perked up alot, and we are making sure she gets all the nourishment she needs!

The little puppies had their first trip to the river, and they absolutely loved it!!
Chester and co kept watch from the bank!!😅

A little improvement today, so we are delighted.
Still not wanting to eat, but Susann O'Sullivan Daly , vet nurse extra ordinaire, is syringing diluted recovery food into Alice so she is getting all the nutrients she needs plus fluids from her drip.
Everyone at the vets are doing everything possible for Alice and we are all rooting for her!!
