Hello everyone
I am in a period atm with no puppies (it’s nice to have a summer break to be honest)
It has also give me time to have a think & reflect
It was brought to my attention two days ago that my dogs and my business was being talked about on the internet, nothing really to worry about just two individuals, nevertheless it has given me the opportunity to have a think
In a nutshell the messages being thrown about indicates my Boxweilers are aggressive
Having my own open page gives me the opportunity to put the record straight so to speak
Funny enough as the main uk Boxweiler breeder the page in question has taken it upon themselves to block me (that’s certainly a good advocate for the breed)
As the majority of you that follow this page or have had a Boxweiler from me will know, Boxweilers in general are beautiful loyal & in my opinion one of the top large breed family dogs to own
Breeding Boxweilers & Rottweilers for more years than I can remember gives me a very good insight to the breed
Given the fact the world has changed over the years, naturally people in general have changed with it, in some cases not for the better
Right! In my opinion, dogs need boundaries from the beginning especially large breed, intelligent power breed dogs
They need firm guidance/instructions and a pack leader (that is you if your the owner) if they don’t have this the dog will run circles around you
as the dogs will definitely push every boundary possible if allowed
Then……
Pretty much when things have not worked out this is what gets thrown around
Aggressive
Anxiety
Reactive
And a lot more rubbish, all new words brought into the mix since people have changed as I mentioned above
This is when the blame game unfolds, it’s the dogs fault, it’s the breed, it’s the breeder
No it’s you that is the problem for not being the leader from the start
How dare you blame the dog, after all it has been taught everything it knows from you , as you have owned it from 8 weeks old
The blaming of the dog boils my p**s to be frank
When I hear the training method is nurture / nature and an 8 week old puppy is reactive, it kind of like puts things into perspective. I only wish I could see into the future as these sort of people would never have one of my dogs
At the end of the day it’s the dog that will suffer throughout its life being brought up with all the nonsense
Going forward from here, if you think you maybe a person that will use any of the above to disguise your inability to rear a large powerful dog in the correct manner (do not contact me for a pup) i want my dogs in a home with boundaries, not end up being passed around to other families like they are the problem
As most of you will know I own 12 Boxweilers and not one of them are aggressive in anyway
Everyone that has purchased a pup from me has had the opportunity to meet mum & Dad and see how lovely they are
I have never experienced any issues with my dogs along with hundreds of happy families that have the pleasure of owning one and many of you have come back for a second dog
Credit to all of you that have got it right and give my dogs the best life, it makes me happy to see it
For those that have got it totally wrong my sympathy lays with the dog not you
It may be worth mentioning I only breed Boxweilers for the pleasure of making people happy and I enjoy the journey not for a great profit, I have many other projects in my life that provide an income
So when I see the minority talking s**t on the internet it makes me wonder why I bother
Fortunately due to the fact there are hundreds of you out there that are happy and enjoy my dogs it out-ways the nonsense
Any of you happy people with happy dogs feel free to tag them on this post
To the select few that have got it wrong keep your pictures to yourself as nobody wants to see a miserable dog
And you will obviously get a reprimanded by the decent people who follow this page
Remember I do not want to provide a puppy to anyone that thinks blaming a dog, the breed or breeder for issues that may occur throughout the dogs life
I’m a bit to old for drama, I want to provide puppies for proper people that have plenty of common sense
If you haven’t got that stay away and have a rethink should you be getting a dog at all ..
On a brighter note the sun is shining and I’m going for a long walk with half a dozen of my dogs this morning 😃😃🐶
