Keep an eye out for adders this spring 👀🌷

Spring marks the end of hibernation for adders, Scotland's only native and venomous reptile.

They are typically not aggressive and only found in certain areas of Scotland but this is the time of year that they are most active and likely to bite people and pets.

⚠️ You must seek veterinary attention immediately if your pet has been bitten by an adder.

Down stay with duration, a bit of distance, off or dropped lead and a cow foot in the bowl in front of each dog. I would say they nailed it.

This mornings introduction to Canine Rally was fantastic. Lots of learning and fun was had.
Learning skills and behaviours that many didn't think possible as well as increasing the bond with their dog.
Beyond the Lead Dog Training Academy we made a great team today, looking forward to our next workshop.

Well done to all that took part in this mornings UK Sniffer Dogs Bronze Series 1. All the dogs nailed searching for a really small amount of scent and didn't seen to mind being up at the crack of dawn to embark on searching, sniffing and embracing the sun. Great success all round.

Sunny Saturday working on the same bit's and pieces as yesterday with different groups. The groups consisted of mixture of Foundation, Bronze, Silver and Gold. Each level working of different things to suit their capabilites

A good reason to work with puppies and children is that you get fantastic photos. Our youngest child handler training at present is only 7yrs and she's fantastic. Do zoom into puppy Ruby for cute puppy overload.

Busy Friday sessions consisted of loose lead walking around distractions, car manners, roadways, scent work and a few other obedience positions, some tired dogs at the end of the day. Apologies to the 9:30 group I forgot to take photos. 🫣
