Guernsey's Lost & Found Pets Let’s Get Them Home…
Marianne~Admin 07781 190028/Janie~07781 143901 The cats were interbreeding and this led to a lot of pain and suffering for them.

Guernsey Animal Aid was founded in 1998 by Sue Vidamour as an answer to the feral cat problem in Guernsey. Prior to this Sue had been rehoming horses and dogs for 6 years. In 1998 there were many feral cat colonies on the island so Sue held a meeting about the problem and Guernsey Animal Aid was formed. Since this first meeting over 700 feral cats have been neutered or spayed and the kittens re-ho

med. Now thanks to the efforts of Sue and the rest of the Guernsey Animal Aid gang, feral cats are a shrinking problem. However it is one that we need to keep on top of and here at Guernsey Animal Aid that’s exactly what we intend to do. Over the years Guernsey Animal Aid expanded and eventually we were taking on all animals, no matter how big or small. We were a rescue center & sanctuary and we never turned an animal in need away. Unfortunately after many years of rescuing animals in need, due to health issues, Sue was no longer able to look after so many animals, even with the help of all the volunteers, so it was with a heavy heart that Guernsey Animal Aid was shut down. We re-homed the animals that were suitable for re-homing. The ponies, the rabbits and guinea pigs. The parrots were all taken to specialist sanctuaries in the UK. It was decided however that we couldn’t stop the work we were doing for feral cats on the Island. If we stopped now, then the problem would come back and the feral cat situation would gradually get out of control again. So any remaining money that had been donated to us before we shut down was used towards this scheme. Since then we have decided to re-open. This time though we would put all of our resources into cats and a few select cases for dogs.

💙REUNITED~COSMO FOUND AFTER SEVEN MONTHS💙
We are absolutely delighted to confirm that Cosmo, who had been missing since 28 November 2025 from Le Picquerel, was picked up by the GSPCA at Pleinmont last night.

As soon as we saw him, we strongly suspected it was Cosmo and immediately reached out to his owner, Vicky. She raced up to the Gspca and was overjoyed to discover that it was indeed her beloved boy. Skinnier but otherwise healthy.

What a wonderful outcome ~ welcome home, Cosmo 🐾

💙REUNITED~CAMDEN IS HOME AFTER TWO MONTHS💙
A lovely lady, Gemma, contacted us after spotting a cat on her building’s security camera in St Julians Avenue. After taking a closer look she suspected it might be Camden, who has been missing from the Green Lanes, St Peter Port since 31 March.

Working together with Janie, a plan was put in place to safely trap the cat inside the building. At 4.30am this morning, the plan worked perfectly and Gemma was able to coax Camden into her care. Janie then reunited Camden with his sleepy but hugely relieved owners, who are absolutely overjoyed to have their beloved boy back home.

After two months on his own, Camden is a little slimmer than before but otherwise fit, healthy, and very happy to be home where he belongs.

A huge thank you to Gemma for recognising Camden, and helping to bring his story to such a happy ending.

🐾 LONG-LOST CATS IN GUERNSEY - PLEASE SHARE 🐾

Charlie has been added to the database

All of these cats are currently missing, and from experience we know there's a very good chance that some of them may be out there somewhere, having been unknowingly taken in by kind-hearted people. ❤️

❓ Has a cat ever turned up on your doorstep?

❓ Has a neighbour been feeding a "stray" cat?

❓ Do you recognise any of these cats?

❓ Do you know anything that could help reunite them or give closure to their families?

Excellent News. The ‘neighbourhood watch’ (aka you guys) strikes again. This evening, THREE missing cats ~ Cisco, Tsuki & Jasper~ are all back home safe and sound, and probably wandering what all the fuss is about after their big adventure. Their family’s are absolutely thrilled. We do wonder if they were perhaps just planning a secret cat convention😺
A huge thank you to our incredible supporters, thank you for sharing the posts, and for always having our backs (and paws) and being the best community a cat could ask for 🐾

He was last seen on 26 May 2026 at Grandes Capelles Lane (near Aladdin’s Cave), St Sampsons. Please check any sheds, garages and outbuildings. Cisco will look pure white from his left side apart from his tail. He is friendly, but timid and wary of strangers.
