Puppy class!!

Heatwave for weeks and on the first night of class it pours down for the puppies!

They were all superb and did lots of good work, even doing some nice walking past each other

Here we have Hugo and Louie at the front - cocker spaniel and flatcoated retriever

Next along is Kohl the standard poodle and Bobby the cavapoo

Then there’s Douglas the Miniature Dachshund and Lucy the Goldendoodle

There’s a mixture of rewards of either food or toys being used for the puppy’s ability to focus around the other distractions

Just like real life where we sometimes just need to get on with our walks and not greet everyone we pass

Doing nothing and watching the world go by is an essential skill for our pet dogs

But actually when you think about it, it’s quite a hard skill

So it’s essential to practice in short frequent sessions

Training family🤗

Over the past 13 years or so I have witnessed clients experience births, deaths, marriages, divorces, lose their old Dogs and welcome new Dogs to mend broken hearts ❤️‍🩹

And do you know what, most of the guys in this video have also seen me go through the same 🫶🏻

Together we’ve laughed, cried and turned up each week 😬

So when Dave said that Mrs Dave was getting rid of some coats and he’d bring them to see if anyone wanted any, there was only one thing for it 🎶

What a way to end the week! 🐾

Who says gundog skills are just for gundogs?! 😄

This morning’s class featured a fantastic mix of a Golden Retriever, a Collie x Kelpie, a Jack Russell… and the return of mighty Maltipoo! 💪🐶

Different breeds, but all working together brilliantly. Off lead, staying focused on their owners, ignoring the distractions around them, and confidently carrying out each task. 👏

It’s never about the breed—it’s about building communication, teamwork and having fun together. 🤗

Watching such a varied group succeed side by side is exactly why I love these classes! ❤️

Well done everyone for another brilliant session, and what a fantastic way to round off the week. Have a wonderful weekend! 🐾☀️

Always alot of fun as well as good questions, nice training and usually some inappropriate innuendo 🍆
