I just love dogs.
I mean like. I really really love them.
I love the bond with people. The unity they bring. The chaos, the hair, the calm, the slobber, the can’t feel my foot because you’re lay on it. All of it.
Except adolescence. I don’t love adolescence.
Lucy is really annoying. Pass it on….

This little guy had a wonderful session this week with huge success. All with the help of my Sam.

The many (adorable) faces of Ochi 🩷🐾

He absolutely smashed our shady session today.
Ignored what needed to be ignored. Did the most incredible polite meet and greets with children on half term.

I’ve also got to say - what a breath of fresh air the children were today. As soon as Ochi moved away they did too. I was ready to body block children 😂 but didn’t need to.

Absolutely wonderful.
The best way to end my week is with Ochi and his lovely family.

☀️🐾 HEATWAVE UPDATE 🐾☀️

With temperatures reaching up to 32°C this week, your dogs’ welfare comes first — always. 💛

At The Faithful Dog Trainer, we’ll be adapting sessions where needed to keep everyone safe and comfortable. This may mean:
🐶 Earlier morning sessions
🐶 Later evening sessions
🐶 Shortened sessions with more rest breaks
🐶 Rescheduling where temperatures are simply too high

Dogs can overheat far more quickly than we do, especially puppies, older dogs, flat-faced breeds, and dogs carrying extra weight.

Please remember:
💧 Fresh water at all times
🌳 Stick to shade
🔥 Check pavements before walks
🚫 Never leave dogs in cars
🐾 Keep exercise calm and appropriate for the weather

Bailey and Sam during 1:1’s
Bailey is a sensitive soul who gets worried around dogs. This has resembled his dad looking like he’s “flying a Labrador kite” in the past.

So for three months we’ve been working through our reactivity program.

This was Baileys first public space training. On a busy Saturday afternoon, in a popular doggie place, and the sun was out. So everyone took their dog out!
It was busy!
Bailey has all the tools through our program but sometimes dogs just need a little bit of support from another dog.
Sam has become Baileys confidence giver.
Being able to watch Sam interact with dogs has helped so much.
Sam also diffuses situations really well and has a quiet calm way about him.

Seeing Bailey doing such an awesome job has made my day.

Next step. Can he do it without Sam the Man?!

What a wonderful last class of term for these guys.
Graduation for puppies, pop up cafe and cake and some well deserved awards for most improved and best new trick.
