What a brilliant couple of days at Pickering Show 🌾

We’ve thoroughly enjoyed the last two days, and the dogs did absolutely amazing!Although it was a little too hot for them, they gave it their all and did us proud☀️

A massive thank you to The Parker Family for supplying us tub we filled with water to keep the dogs cool & also to North Yorkshire Fire Service for spraying the dogs before they started 🚒

Sox also kept us and the crowd entertained, getting a little distracted by the horse poo left in the arena! Still, she’s only a pup and there’s plenty of time to learn 🥰

Now it’s time for all the dogs to put their paws up and have a well-earned rest before our next stop…

Great to be back Pickering Country Fair today 🌾
We’ll be back tomorrow too!

This weekend we’re doing two gundog displays each day! We started off with the puppies, Sue and Sox 🤍🤎 using their trusty Cato place board!

Then demonstrated some of Fantas recent memory retrieve training with Milly, Lady, Bruce & Junior and some hunting…her favourite thing 🤩

We finished off with the more experienced dogs, C**t and Raine who had some fun with the remote dummy launcher 🚀

It was great to catch up with some familiar faces who have enjoyed our gundog displays over the years, and seen the dogs advance year on year 🥰

🌟🌟 What's on Show Weekend 🌟🌟 Smallbrooks Gundogs

We’re excited to be back at Wolsingham Show for our 4th year as Smallbrooks Gundogs!

This year is shaping up to be our best yet — we’re thrilled to welcome Simon Dixon to the display team. What a season he’s had, qualifying a Labrador, Cocker, and Springer for all championships, winning the Springer Champs and taking 2nd in the Cockers!

As always, we’ll be running our popular scurries with some fantastic prizes up for grabs - so make sure you come and have a go!

We’re also stepping things up this year:
👉 Displays in our own arena
👉 PLUS an appearance in the main arena

And for the first time, we’ll be showcasing not just Cockers and Springers, but Labradors too!

So what’s been happening at Smallbrooks since we last saw you?
✨ 2 Novice wins
✨ 2 Open wins
✨ 2nd place at the Springer Championships (with one of the dogs many of you saw as a pup!)

And… we’ve got a new addition!

A beautiful puppy from our champion Ivy - full of personality and a real bundle of joy. We can’t wait for you all to meet her!
