💗 First Groom Success for Handsome Pancho! 💗

Sweet Pancho the Shorkie visited the cabin for his very first professional groom, and I couldn't be prouder of him! 🥰

Mum has lovingly groomed Pancho herself for years, but decided it was time for a groomer to take over. Understandably, Pancho was a little nervous at first, but with plenty of reassurance, cuddles, and tasty treats, he soon began to relax and trust the process. 💕

He enjoyed a lovely warm bath using Peanut & Pickle's Northern Lights shampoo, leaving his coat smelling absolutely amazing! ✨
The dryer was a little daunting, so we kept it on a low setting and added lots of comforting cuddles to help him feel safe.
Pancho had a full clip and handled it so well. Once his gorgeous face was tidied up, he looked absolutely adorable! 😍 Freshly groomed, smelling fabulous, and finished off with a smart bandana, he was ready to show off his handsome new look.

The best part? Seeing Mum's face light up when she saw him! 🥹💗

I can't wait to welcome you back to the cabin, Pancho. You were an absolute star! ⭐

💚 Sweet little Bonnie the Cockapoo was back at the cabin for her groom, and it was lovely to see her again! 💚

Bonnie is still only young, but she's already becoming a regular visitor. We're working through a few grooming challenges together, and I'm so proud of the progress she's making. Her mum has been doing an amazing job at home helping Bonnie get used to the trimmers around her bottom area 👏. We're still taking our time with the clippers, but there's absolutely no rush—Bonnie will get there when she's ready.

She enjoyed a lovely soapy scrub in the bath and then stood on the table for drying like a little professional! 👌 I used a licky mat to help keep her occupied while clipping, which worked for a little while. The best part? Bonnie was perfectly happy having her face trimmed, and by the time Mum arrived, she was all finished, smelling absolutely amazing and looking beautiful in her pink bow 🎀✨

To help Bonnie build confidence and get more comfortable with the grooming process, we're now booking her in every 6 weeks. Consistency can make such a difference, and we're keeping everything positive and at her pace. 🥰

✨ If I could give you ONE tip to improve your dog’s grooming experience this week… it would be THIS 👇

👉 Start brushing little and often — not all at once.
So many dogs become stressed because brushing only happens when the coat is already tangled or matted 😔
Instead, try this: ✔️ 2–5 minutes a day

✔️ Keep it calm and positive
✔️ Reward with treats or praise
✔️ Focus on one small area at a time
This builds trust, reduces knots, and makes grooming SO much easier (for both of you!) 🐶💙

Remember… grooming shouldn’t be a battle — it should feel safe and routine.

🐾💕 Double the Fun with Milly & Benji! 💕🐾

The gorgeous Springer Spaniel duo, Milly and Benji, were back at the cabin for their second visit, and what a lively pair they are! Their wagging tails and excitement to see me were such a lovely welcome. 🥰

Getting their before photos was quite the challenge with all that enthusiasm! 😅 We started with a tidy-up clip before it was time for their pampering sessions. Milly was first in the bath, closely followed by Benji, and they happily took turns being bathed, dried, and groomed. Although, Benji did try to join in when it was Milly's turn on the table! 😂

Both pups thoroughly enjoyed their spa day, especially when the treats came out! 🍖 After finishing touches, a spritz of cologne, and their smart bandanas, it was time for photos and a fun run around the garden before Mum and Dad arrived.

They were delighted with how handsome and beautiful their fur babies looked. 🐶✨
Before heading home for a well-earned nap, Mum and Dad even popped over to say hello to the chickens! 🐔

🐾💙 Handsome Jensen was back at the cabin for his 2nd de-shed appointment, and I was so happy to see him again!

We started with a blow-out in the bath to help loosen all that excess fur before his luxury pamper session. Now, I knew Jensen loved a good shake after getting wet, but this time he really outdid himself! 🤣💦 I ended up absolutely drenched – what a character he is!
After removing even more loose fur in the bath, we headed over to the grooming table to finish off his de-shed treatment. Jensen enjoyed plenty of treats along the way, plus a little Greek yogurt on his licky mat, which he absolutely loved. 🥰

Once he was all finished, this beautiful boy looked so handsome in his blue bandana, with his super-soft coat and a spritz of cologne to complete the look.

💙✨ While waiting for his dads to arrive, we enjoyed a little run around the garden together.
His dads were delighted when they saw him looking and feeling his best. It’s always lovely to see happy owners and happy dogs! 🐾

🐾💙 Handsome Arthur's Second Grooming Visit 💙🐾

Arthur, the lovable Cocker Spaniel, came back to the cabin for his second full groom, and what a difference a visit can make! 🥰

During his first appointment, Arthur was understandably quite nervous, but he handled everything so well. This time, he arrived much more relaxed and confident, which was lovely to see. With plenty of tasty treats, cuddles, kisses, reassurance, and regular little breaks, Arthur coped brilliantly throughout his pamper session.

He enjoyed a lovely bath followed by a gentle dry, and by taking everything at his pace, we were able to make his grooming experience a positive and stress-free one. Watching nervous dogs grow in confidence is one of the most rewarding parts of my job. ❤️

Well done, Arthur – you were such a good boy! 🐶✨

💙🐾 A warm welcome to Eddy and Arty! 🐾💙

These adorable 2½-year-old Shorkie brothers visited the cabin for the very first time, and what a journey we had together!

Both boys were understandably a little nervous, especially as it had been quite some time since their last groom. We started gently with a thorough brush through before clipping, as they both had a lot of coat growth and some matting to work through.

Arty was the more confident of the two and coped really well with the clipping process, so I focused on him first. Eddy found the experience much more challenging and needed lots of reassurance, patience, and encouragement. His face was particularly sensitive, even when using scissors instead of clippers, so we took everything at his pace.
To give the boys a break, they enjoyed a relaxing bath and pamper session before being gently dried. After that, brave little Arty allowed me to finish his groom, including some careful sc******ng around his face.

Eddy needed a little extra help, and with the support of Mum and her daughters, we were able to complete his groom. It wasn't perfect, but considering how worried he was, I was incredibly proud of how much progress he made. By the end, he was looking far better than I could have hoped for when we first started.

Building trust takes time, and I truly believe that with regular visits, Eddy's confidence will continue to grow. I'm delighted that both boys are already booked back in for 6 weeks' time so we can continue building that positive grooming experience together.

Both brothers left the cabin looking smart in their bandanas, smelling absolutely amazing, and ready to show off their fresh new look!

Well done, Eddy and Arty – you were both superstars today! 🌟🐶
