My clients will know that the magic happens when their horses have regular massages. My main goal is to get your horses to a point where we can have them on a maintenance schedule meaning we can fine tune their routines, make solid progress and be in control of their movements.

Don’t wait until there is a problem, prevention is ALWAYS better than cure !

Message me PREVENTION if you want to reduce your horse’s chance of injury, weakness and tension.

With the recent cold and wet wether playing havoc with horses exercise routines and frequency.

It’s important when bringing hem back into work to do it gradually and carefully to prevent any injuries, especially to older horses and those who are prone to injury.

Sports massage therapy would be of benefit to your horses to help look out for any strains, tension and stiffness that has been created due to reduced workloads and the winter conditions ❄️

Pop me a message to find out about availability and to get your horses booked in 📩

🚶🏼‍♀️‍➡️Hand Walk After Massage 🚶🏼‍♀️‍➡️

When the full massage is completed, I walk your horse in hand at a fairly brisk pace for at least 5 minutes.

This will help to reduce “ after massage stiffness “

Whilst i am walking your horse you will notice a difference in their movements, as well as noticing that their head carriage will become freer and start bobbing up and down.

Massage frequency tips

Horses on box rest
Ideally daily or every other day. No matter why your horse is on box rest whether an injury or an illness. Horse immunity is reduced whilst on box rest, regular massages help prevent muscle stagnation and boredom.

For competition horses
Preferably weekly throughout the competition season with pre and post event massages as required. Regular and repeat massages can help increase your horses muscles before tone and blood flow, leading to better performance and recovery. A more open blood flow also aids the dispersal of lactic acid and other byproducts of hard work form the muscles, reducing stiffness and lessening tension.

For allrounders, happy hackers and non ridden
A routine massage between once a month and every six weeks, dependent on the horse will help preserve muscles, stamina and overall fitness.
