The pair came in to see Davina for their booster vaccinations and made quite the impression whilst they were here.
Full of personality, confidence and perfectly posed from start to finish.
Safe to say they earned a solid 10/10 from the team.💙

☀️ Warm Weather Advice for Brachycephalic (Flat-Faced) Breeds ☀️

Brachycephalic breeds like French Bulldogs, Pugs and Shih Tzus are much more prone to overheating in warm weather due to their shortened noses and narrower airways.

A few important tips to keep them from overheating during warmer days:

💧 Always provide fresh, cool water.
🌳 Walk early in the morning or later in the evening when temperatures are lower.
🚫 Avoid strenuous exercise in warm weather.
❄️ Use cooling mats, damp towels or shaded areas to help regulate body temperature.
🐾 Check pavements with the back of your hand before walks to avoid burnt paws.
🏡 Keep indoor spaces cool with fans and blinds closed during peak heat.

Signs of overheating include:
🐶 Heavy panting
🐶 Bright red or pale gums
🐶 Drooling or vomiting
🐶 Weakness or collapse

For these breeds especially, prevention is far safer than treatment during hot weather 💙

The gorgeous Cooper recovering well following his Castration procedure. 💙

A few belly rubs and some gentle TLC go a long way in helping them settle during recovery, and our nurse Karolina was there to provide just that.

Comfortable and already enjoying plenty of fuss as he rests up with us before heading home.
