DOES ANYONE ACTUALLY READ OUR POSTS ANYMORE??

Thank you to those who have sponsored our upcoming dog show 6th September.
Sadly this will be our last dog show held at mine.
At the beginning we had such huge support, we had trade stands, bouncy castles, food venders, face painting, various dog displays. We used to have 2 people on car parking now you could park anywhere, its not financially viable to put this on anymore.
The work it takes by myself and my daughter to sort the field, get everything out and ready is just not possible.
We used to have great support but this does not appear to be there anymore.
We went from 6th place rosettes to 4th as we had noticed a decline, but last year we had many classes with no entries, some with 1 or 2, so we ended up with more rosettes over than given out.
So sadly we have to cut our losses and call it a day as we sadly cannot risk using charity funds to cover the ever increasing operating costs of putting on the day (toilets, rosettes, insurance etc) to then not make any profit or very little profit on the day.
And that’s without the time put in to making it happen, as you all know CSDBR is a charity run by volunteers and run totally on donations, so we have to ensure that we continue with putting our time available for fundraising into activities that are well supported and raise the most funds. It’s quite ironic and a little sad that those activities seem mainly now to be those that are nothing directly related to the dogs that we help. We just cannot continue doing things that need maximum effort and cost for minimal or no profit for the charity.
So on a positive note this past year we have held a Country, line dancing evening and a Bingo evening, which have been very successful but we would love it if anyone has any ideas on fundraising.....plus availability to help please get in touch.
We need new fresh ideas of fundraising, and people to help, as without this our little charity would not continue.
Ps our annual charity calendar is safe and currently in the process of being finalised for 2027!
