BRUNO HAS THE MOST AMAZING FOSTER HOME TO GO TO AFTER HIS NEXT VET CHECK
🐾💜🐾💜 I need to do an update on our little man Bruno 🐾💜🐾💜
I have had alot of enquiries as to how Bruno is getting on.
I was holding back for a couple of weeks but after conferring with our other charity trustees here goes...
I had a gut feeling from being with Bruno alot that he was showing signs of JKD.
He was booked in for neutering last Wednesday, with the view of assessing his mouth whilst under to what we do to help him with his cleft.
I asked them to test him before anything to rule it out.
I had a call from our vets not long after to confirm my gut feeling was right, our vet advised not to neuter so I went and picked him up.
Bruno is sadly in Stage 2 kidney failure.
I have put some screenshots in the comments, commonly known as Boxer JKD. I know alot of people are unaware of this in boxers.
So as if he hasn't got enough to contend with, with his mouth he now has this to face, but there is no cure.
As recommended by the vets, we put him straight on to special renal food, I have added a screenshot of what he is on, this does not come cheap.
Bruno is going back for more blood tests, to be sent away to give us more information as to what we are looking at.
Some may remember Bruce I had a few years ago, diagnosed with exactly the same.
At the moment little man is enjoying life, he loves the flingdinger more than the ball, he just loves toys....but not of the stuffed toy kind.
So if anyone wants to donate him any fun ball/squeaky toys he would love it, though he has tried to tackle a 5ft wooden fence post here!
The charity will make sure he has everything he needs, he will keep having regular blood tests, as Bruce did and we will be advised by our vet.
Having the next lot of tests we should have alot more detail.
I'm hoping we might be able to find a nice quiet, pet free home for him, as here he is in a kennel.
The charity, with the help of everyone who donates to our fundraising, will cover all his food and vets bills.
I'm hoping someone can give him a sofa to call his own, but they would need to be local to Penmellyn vets.
I sadly cannot have him in my own home as I have a dog reactive dog since he got attacked by a supposed boxer bought to me via a transporter for the police, which was a presa canario, fighting bait dog.
If no one can have him he will carry on living at mine, I will be able to give more details after the next blood tests 🤞
