ANXIOUS TO RELAXED 🐾💕

This is Rosie, and I am SOOO proud of her! 💕

I was thinking back to her very first groom today. She attacked the brush, comb, scissors and clippers—and heaven forbid I even looked at her front legs!!!

Working closely with her wonderful mum, we introduced a regular grooming schedule and took things slowly, making small steps forward with every groom. I focused on building trust, desensitising Rosie to the equipment and, of course, there was LOTS of cheese & treats😀

Fast forward to today, and it’s like grooming a completely different dog. Rosie is now a calm, confident and loving girl who no longer fears being groomed.

I feel so incredibly blessed to not only do something I absolutely love, but to know that I’ve made a real difference to Rosie’s life.

Seeing her transformation and knowing she is no longer scared of grooming is exactly why I am a dog led groomer, love you Rosie ❤️

Humanity over vanity.

The groomer in me screams at the thought of cutting a Schnauzer’s beard — it’s one of the greatest sins according to any Schnauzer breeder.

This special OAP was matted, so perfection wasn’t the goal in his case. His comfort and a speedy groom were.

Grooming isnt always striving for the perfect cut. Grooming is striving for comfortable, calm and stress free. 💕🐾💕
