We had a brilliant day out with some of the flock.

At monk park farm we try and visit farm parks around the country to learn and see if we can improve what we are doing. And well let me tell you, we came home from dalscone feeling excited and full of new and different ideas!!!!

1) we totally need an Armadillo 👌
2) ice cream vending machine
3) large pedal go karts
4) private animal experiences
5) Farmer Mark needs his own merch!!!

We had a flock day out to Dalscone farm fun this week, we had a best time seeing what Dalscone do and we were lucky enough to do a Armadillo experience. We met Rock and Roll the Armadillos....

Today, Farmer Mark, Lauren and some of the team headed north to visit Dalscone Farm Fun in Dumfries.

We think it’s really important to visit other farm parks, share ideas and learn from each other. We regularly welcome teams from attractions across the country to come and see what we do at Monk Park Farm too!

But the biggest surprise of the day came in the Animal Barn…

We bumped into Suzanna from Harrogate, who is a fantastic supporter and follower of Monk Park Farm. She had travelled all the way by train to visit Dalscone herself!

Out of all the farm parks, on all the days, we ended up meeting one of our own supporters hundreds of miles from home.

It really is a small world! 🌍❤️

🦌 A Difficult but Important Decision 🦌

After a lot of careful thought, we made the difficult decision to rehome our much-loved pair of Red Deer.
While they have been a cherished part of Monk Park Farm, our priority will always be the welfare of our animals. We felt that our deer deserved the opportunity to live in a larger herd environment with more space to roam and exhibit their natural behaviours.

We are delighted to have found them a wonderful new home with an experienced keeper who has a private Red Deer herd, extensive grazing land, and natural water sources. They have settled into a fantastic environment where they can thrive alongside other deer.

Although we will miss them greatly, we know this move is in their best interests and gives them the very best quality of life possible. Their welfare has always come first, and we're pleased to see them begin this exciting new chapter.
