My background is in rescue, I worked as a behaviourist for Battersea and Dogs Trust for several years.
I've met a lot of very dedicated animal loving folk, but Alison takes it to another level.
She hasn't spent a night in her own home in Wales in over a year, because she stays on site, getting up before dawn and working until nightfall taking care of the dogs.
She's saved and rehomed so many dogs that had been in local authority pounds and would otherwise have been euthanised. They stay with her temporarily while looking for new homes. However, some dogs would struggle in home environments, aren't suitable for the average owner, or just haven't had any interest from potential adopters.
So they stay with her permanently.
She's been paying the rent for the kennels in which the dogs are housed, the food they eat, and their vet treatment out of her own pocket.
Her lease is coming to an end, and she hasn't been able to find anywhere to move them.
She's reluctantly agreed to allow a Gofundme page to be set up, to raise funds for new premises.
Any donations will make a huge difference, literally saving lives with every penny.
