In 2025 poultry entries were buoyant with the Champion bird exhibited by Jessica Rivers selling for £220 and the Reserve Champion achieving £170.

There were also Geese exhibited by Bretby Geese with the best selling for £105.

Just to remind any school that is interested in entering the Competition, there is a special prize for the best School entry.

At the 2025 English Winter Fair the carcase Hall was full, with an excellent entry of Beef, Lamb and Pork Carcases.

The Overall Champion Beef carcase was a Aberdeen Angus x bred by R Latham which went on to to sell for £13.50 per kg.

There was an excellent trade across the Carcase Hall with the Champion Lamb Carcase selling for £15.50 per kg and numerous others selling between £9- £12 per kg. Pork carcases also sold well with Champion exhibited by Horsleys selling for £4.40 per kg.

There was a record number of entries in the Ribs of Beef and Saddle of Lamb Competitions, with the Champion Saddle of Lamb selling for £170 and the Ribs of Beef ranging from £150-£260.

🎉 Happy Retirement, Robert Peacock! 🎉

Today marks the end of an incredible 28 years at Staffordshire County Showground as Rob hangs up his work boots and begins a well-earned retirement.

From early starts and long days to countless events, shows and behind-the-scenes hard work, Rob has been a familiar face and a valued member of the Showground team for nearly three decades. His dedication, knowledge and commitment have helped shape so many memorable moments here at the Showground.

And as if retirement wasn't enough to celebrate... Rob turns 70 tomorrow! 🥳

Please join us in thanking Rob for everything he has done over the past 28 years and wishing him a very happy 70th birthday and a long, healthy and enjoyable retirement.

Although we know retirement won't keep him away completely, and we're sure we'll still see him around the Showground from time to time, today is the perfect opportunity to say thank you.

Enjoy every minute, Rob – you've certainly earned it! 💚

Congratulations once again to the 2025 English Winter Fair Supreme Beef Champion E Lloyd & Co.
Harrison & Hetherington kindly offer £1000 to the Supreme Champion if purchased through a Harrison & Hetherington sale. The winners were presented with their cheque by Laura Millar, Director, Robin Anderson, MD and Auctioneers James Little and Grant Anderson.
