Stafford Showground Limited is seeking to appoint a proactive and experienced Site Manager to lead the operational upkeep and presentation of the Showground site.
📍 Location - Stafford Showground, Weston Road, Stafford
⏰ Core Hours - 40 hours per week (8am – 5pm with one hour break)
• Extensive evening and weekend overtime required
• Overtime paid at time and a half
• Double time on Sundays and Bank Holidays
💷 Salary - Hourly rate – subject to experience and qualifications
🌴 Holiday Entitlement - 25 days per annum
📌 Essential Requirement - Applicants must reside within a 30-minute drive of the Showground due to operational necessity.

The Role - The Site Manager will lead, supervise and direct a small maintenance and cleaning team responsible for:
• Preparing and cleaning exhibition halls and conference suites before and after events
• Grounds maintenance including grass cutting and basic cultivation
• General maintenance of buildings, fixtures and fittings
• Ensuring the site is presented to the highest standard for all events
Although this is a hands-on role, the Site Manager will be part of the Showground management team and will be required to:
• Work closely with the events team
• Liaise with customers
• Attend selected event planning meetings

Skills & Experience Required
• Computer literate
• Strong practical and maintenance skills
• Experience operating plant and machinery including - JCB Loadalls, Ride-on lawn mowers, Tractors
• Basic understanding of Health & Safety legislation and COSHH
• Team leadership and supervisory experience
