Today we were out exploring with our new little trio Peggy Toast and Hornby and they were an absolute joy together it was such a lovely walk and they all did so well but sadly the end of our walk was spoiled when an off lead dog rushed out of the bushes and pestered them and this is something we face far too often with people saying its okay my dog is friendly when in reality it can undo so much of the careful work we put in every single day we always advocate for the dogs we walk and we always take every step needed to keep them safe Peggy has been attacked before so we are gently helping her rebuild her confidence and trust Hornby can react to certain dogs so in busy places i am constantly scanning the surroundings to keep him feeling secure and Toast is a super easy friendly boy who can get a bit over excited but we know how to guide him and help him stay calm and happy we work hard on their individual needs and we never just let dogs run wild together we support them we put some work in we help them grow and it can be disheartening when irresponsible behaviour from others pushes that progress backwards please understand that every walk is planned with care and every dog is handled with love patience and safety at the heart of it all.
