BEREAVEMENT 💔
On Saturday we lost our beloved Grandma Pat after a sad battle with alzheimers ... we are heartbroken and will unfortunately will have to move some appointments when we find out the day of the funeral... we will hopefully find out this week 🙏

LIFE ANNOYING ME 😫🤒🤕
Also over the weekend I was in hospital for majority (great timing I know!), was finally sent home yesterday (came back to work today.. I know! I know!)

I have gallstones and blocked bile tube... im being sent a clinic appointment for 6-8 weeks and will be discussing then when to remove my gallbladder... so please bare with me if I need to move some appointments around at that time .. it is only a day op (keyhole) so in and out, but not sure what recovery is like

I will keep everyone updated as fast as I can as I know things ❤️‍🩹

Last weekend I stepped back into the competition for the 2nd time this year... again doing something completely new

🥇 1st Place in Salon Freestyle Pure Breed (Workshop) with my own standard poodle in a Portuguese Water Dog Trim

🥈 2nd Place in Pure Breed Scissor (never ever competed in this class before!) With the most beautiful and rare Lagotto

Had an absolute ball with the best of people as always and under some of the top judges from all over the world 🌎

🫶 NAIL CARE 💅

Regular nail maintenance for your dog isn't just important, it is a necessity!

We have noticed so many people don't check their dogs nails often.. leading to damaged or infected nail beds, split nails and even nails so long, their dogs cannot walk right!
These tend to be the ones that go 3+ months between appointments.

📸 photos attached are the amount of growth in a dog going 8 weeks between grooming appointments - nails clipped every groom

MORE 📸 IN COMMENTS OF VERY OVERGROWN NAILS

As clients, all of our bath and dry as well as full groom appointments, nail trimming is free as part of these services... but if your dogs aren't coming regularly (8 weeks or less), the nail quick/vein grows longer and longer and we then can't take much off the nail without it bleeding 🩸😢

You can also come for a 'drop in' nail trim any time during opening hours for £10, and we do it while you wait 🫶

My own dogs nails are actually done weekly! But they are both show dogs and my own ;)
But 4-8 weekly (depending on breed and exercise) is the ideal unless your dog wears them down naturally during exercise.

Pop in any time and we can take a look if you are unsure 🙏🩷
