Chow Chows are one of the most beautiful breeds to groom, but they’re also one of the breeds that remind us just how important handling skills really are.

A Chow’s thick coat is only part of the challenge. They can be naturally reserved with strangers, and if they feel anxious, rushed or uncomfortable, the grooming experience can quickly become stressful for both the dog and the groomer.

Taking the time to build trust, reading their body language, using calm, confident handling and never forcing the process makes all the difference. A patient approach not only keeps the dog feeling safe but also allows us to achieve the best possible groom.

Every dog deserves to feel secure on the grooming table, and sometimes the biggest part of a successful groom isn’t the clipping or sc******ng – it’s the relationship you build with the dog.

This gorgeous Chow Luna was an absolute pleasure, and it’s always rewarding to see them leave looking and feeling their best. ❤️🐾
