And just like that, our last half term of this school year is upon us! We are now closed for a week.

We hope everyone has a great week off and can't wait to see you all back with us WC 1st June!

Today we welcomed a visit from Suffolk County Council's Specialist Support Officers.

This is our first official visit from them since being added to their rolling select list and we are pleased to say it went well

We were able to show them our lovely facilities, as well as our educational pathway before checking we have all the correct policies and procedures in place.

Its visits like this, where they say they cant believe what we have achieved in such a short time, that leave us feeling incredibly proud of what we do for all those little gems 💎 out there 💚

We would like to say a HUGE well done and congratulations to one of our students who we this week have had confirmation through that they have passed their functional skills level 1 Maths!

We couldnt be prouder of their achievements as we know even getting to the point of sitting the exam wasnt easy!

We hope you start to believe in yourself as much as us as a team believe in you!

We are very proud to be an Approved Alternative Provision setting for both Cambridgeshire and Suffolk. We know just how important our work is in helping all those little gems out there

Today was an exciting and a little nerve wracking day all in 1 go. We had our first Quality Assurance Visit by Cambridgeshire County Council since we were first approved by them, so we were a little unsure what to expect 😬

We are extremely pleased to say they absolutely loved us and they are very happy for us to continue doing what we do 🥳

And not only did they love the now, when we told them our future plans they loved those too 🤩

We pride ourselves on continuing to be the best we can be to help and support all those little gems out there, but knowing that we have the support of the councils is just the icing on the cake 🎂

These awards are an absolutely incredible event, celebrating all those amazing people in our local community! 🎈🎊

If you click on the cover photo you can even see our very own Hayley on the far right who was nominated for most amazing professional last year and after interview progressed to "Ely Hero" 🥳

Monday 20th April saw the official Launch of the 9th Ely Hero Awards. The Event was sponsored by Poets House Hotel and held within the beautiful Writing Room.

Our amazing and very exciting delivery was......

Our very own 💎Gem Award Rosettes💎

As a team we recognised that there was a gap in what some of our students could achieve. Without wanting to squash their enthusiasm, we wanted to give them enough of a challenge to stretch themselves, so we worked together to create our very own 💎 Gem Awards 💎

We have always said our students, our very own Little Gems, are always at the heart of what do and with Gem Awards we really do feel we can offer them what we have been missing. We continually take an inwards look to see what else we can do to grow to be the best we can be for our students, and this is another step we felt we really wanted to take

15 beautifully coloured Rosettes, each with their own topic will be presented alongside our very own certificates to show they've gained the skill required. Our rosette awards will be for some of our more novice students, students who haven't been around horses before, maybe those who are very nervous around the horses or who may have learning difficulties

Weve loved watching this space be transformed from disused dumping ground to a beautiful safe and secure yard space!

Non of this would be possible without the hard work DB Groundworks Ltd have put in doing all the work, from groundwork, drainage, concreting, building the stables, fencing and attaching the gates 👌
