At Huntingdon and Peterborough we are whats known as a bank where we have about 8 runs that can care for 500 plus hens when we have more hens than homes. We never leave a hen behind so they all.come with us to a few locations around the country and this is what allows us to re-home around 8000 birds annually just from here.
We are in urgent need of repair and replacement to many of our runs and several are about to be decommissioned. We also have a couple of other locations nearby that have agreed to support our bank operation.
So we are asking if anyone has spare Heras Fencing Panels. That you jo longer need and could donate to our rebuilding project.
Each run needs 8 panels for the housing and a further 8 for a protected outside free ranging run area. These are all bolted together floor side and ceiling making them as predator proof as possible.
If you have any fence panels you no longer need please getbin touch and we can come and collect and see if we can beat last years rehoming numbers from here.
