Hotdogs Training

Hotdogs Training Hotdogs training policy is to train in small class sizes so that dogs and handlers are given every opportunity to get the most out of each session.

The emphasis is very much on socialising dogs with others and demonstrating that training and living with your dog is fun. Our training technique is based on the use of gentle, motivational methods. These methods are enjoyable to use and also enjoyed by the dog, with very high levels of success. Our trainers and assistants are covered by professional indemnity insurance, thus accepting responsibil

ity for what they teach and providing the owner with protection. Veterinary Practices can therefore refer their clients with confidence. All trainers regularly attend workshops.

Last night we celebrated another fantastic group of puppies graduating from their Puppy Course! 🎓🐾

They have all made amazing progress, and we’re so proud of how well they’ve done throughout the course.

To finish, we practised:
🐶 Loose lead walking
🐶 Settling calmly around other dogs
🐶 Good manners getting in and out of cars, and walking through doors and gates
🐶 “Leave it”
🐶 Homework review
🐶 Recall practice

A huge well done to all of our graduates! You’ve all put in so much hard work, and it has really paid off. Keep practising everything you’ve learned, and you’ll continue to see your puppies grow in confidence and develop into well-mannered companions.

We can’t wait to welcome you all back for the next stage of your training on our Novice Puppy Course. Well done, everyone! 🐾💙

What a fantastic way to finish our current Monday Club course! 🐾

We ended with a group training walk, giving everyone the chance to practise off-lead interaction and recalls, loose lead walking, and working around other dogs in a real-world group environment.

All the dogs did brilliantly, and it was such a lovely morning.

A huge thank you to Bee for the great video – it perfectly captures what a wonderful session we all had!

Last night’s puppy class was full of great progress! 🐾

The puppies practised their positions, worked on their recalls, learnt how to settle calmly, and built confidence working around people and other dogs. Every session helps them develop the skills they need to become happy, well-mannered dogs.

Teaching your dog to do nothing is actually teaching them one of the most important life skills of all.

It might sound strange, but learning how to switch off is one of the most valuable skills we can teach our dogs. Whether you’re at the pub, in a café, at a restaurant, or out for the day, having a dog that can calmly settle and simply watch the world go by is invaluable.

We start building this skill in our puppy courses, so it was fantastic to see three members of our Thursday Puppy Crew practising their homework this week. 👏

A huge thank you to their owners for letting us share these lovely photos. 🐾🐾

A simple and fun way for your dogs to cool off on a warm day—fill a paddling pool with water and a few floating apples for a game of apple bobbing! 🍎💦🐶 It’s great enrichment, keeps them entertained, and helps them stay cool.
