A sheep has been attacked in the field next to the dog park today

I was wondering if anyone who used the dog park today saw anything and could send me a PM...

Just to be clear, this is NOT anyone who used the dog park, the fields are completely inaccessible to anyone using the dog park as separated by two fences, but the footpath is right on the other side of the field bordering the park, so a chance someone might have seen something occurring...

** EXEMPT DOGS **

I wanted to address how we operate for owners with exempted dogs, as I've had a couple of messages from clients with exempted dogs in the past few days.

1) We DO accept exempted dogs.

2) There is NO extra charge for exempted dogs

Our insurance just asks that:

❤️ Only dogs from the same household can attend (so if you have four dogs and one is exempted then you can bring all four, but you couldn't meet up with your friend and their dogs if you're bringing an exempted dog)

❤️ Exempted dogs must keep their muzzle and lead on in the car park but these can be removed once you are in the dog park and the gate has been securely shut.

It's important to remember that every insurance provider may have different criteria, so I can't comment on why one place may operate differently or not but this is (thankfully) how ours works which we're grateful for 🙏

** NEW DOG PARK RULE **

When visiting in future, we will NOT be allowing single dog visits.

All dogs MUST now bring matching backup singer dogs for their visit going forward, to allow for perfectly symmetrical photos.

(only joking, have to say as sometimes I get messages worrying about if it's true 😂😂)

Oh deer! At 3am this morning, we had a visitor I haven't seen before at the park...

Just inside the park there's a large paddling pool and various water points. With the drought, I wonder if the local wildlife is being pushed to explore more to find water.

The beck was dry a few weeks ago, save for a few puddles where I saw deer footprints.

At the farm I put down water in bowls for smaller wildlife to access, but considering putting something outside the dog park in the car park for wildlife in this dry weather.

From Monday 13th July until 18th July, Junction 41 of the M6 will be shut.

This is the closest Motorway junction to us, so alternative routes will be needed to reach us if traveling on the motorway.

From the South: leave at Junction 40 for Penrith and come via Newton Reigny or Blencow to reach Skelton.

From the North, you will need to leave the M6 at Junction 42.

It looks like the A6 is partially shut where it meets the motorway so would need to use the road that runs from Carlisle racecourse to Hutton in the Forest.
