With given permission from Paige, we wanted to share what an amazing day some of our liveries had yesterday, capturing some moments to last a lifetime.

Paige was brilliant with all the horses, patient and calm which relaxed the ponies - allowing for these brilliant shots!
Couldn’t recommend Paige enough, the yard absolutely loved it!

HoHoHo🎅
Today, Father Christmas and his helper, which he stole overnight- who we know as Mascot Oberon visited Long Orchard.
Oberon was Santa’s helper, at which he helped lay out presents for all livery’s, and all their 4 legged friends!
A great afternoon, and turn out. Well done Santa and Oberon🎅🐴♥️

🌟Between The Ears!🌟
^ There’s been many different ears, more recently and some past ones that’ve required exercising or just a little fix up.
We can support you here, and provide this service if needs be.
Riders range from 9st+ and most commonly Amy who has experience with racehorses to a Dartmoor pony can jump on when required. Have a flick through the many ears, they all range in colour, breed, hight!

We have 2 DIY stables available, 12x14!
And potentially 1 DIY stables, 10x12.
This comes with 1 Summer field ( per horse.) Unless you come as a pair, and can turn out in company.
This also includes 1 Winter field, adjacent to the yard- perfect for the darker evenings.
Our package includes Hay, use of Turnout pens, 60x40 school, horse walker and many more facilities.

Yesterday, One of our full livery’s Caroline & Jeramiah James ( JJ ) competed at their first BD event at our local venue Duchy after 12 long months. JJ was an absolute superstar, on top form. They came away with a 2nd and 4th with an impressive 68% in their test!
Its not been smooth sailing for this combination over the last year, here’s why:

JJ had a hindlimb suspensory injury in January if this year resulting in months off of work, regular physio sessions and visits from the vet. 😢
JJ also needed his hocks injecting with steroids to support the suspensory ligaments however, a routine blood test showed JJ has high blood glucose levels meaning he would be more prone to laminitis, JJ went on a course of EMS medications to bring the blood glucose levels down which were unsuccessful, the vet continued and injected his hocks meaning JJs owner and the yard staff were on high alert watching for signs of laminitis, but luckily JJ recovered from these well and was able to begin schooling and strengthening work in July.

And from there, it’s only been up. I think they’ve both enjoyed grasping a routine again- and finding the love💕 a

What we have been up to lately:
• The horses, who we like to call ‘The golden oldies’ Tundra and B, have been enjoying grazing down the winter fields, safe to say they’ve put on heaps of weight😂
• Also, we’ve been installing new turnout pens which have been posted previous! All the horses love it.
• Finally, the school has been having weekly harrows with the Tractor, as the quad wasn’t quite doing the job, we want the best for our horses and livery’s, so that’s what they shall receive. 🐴🐴

🎊New And Improved!🎊
We have recently added some more turnout pens, to replace the ‘ol and shabby’ ones that existed. Now, instead of Electric fence, we have Post&Rail! No body can escape with ease now😅
