It’s been a while since I’ve posted! Been busy doing the lord’s work keeping your Pooches cool through the biblical heatwave haven’t I!! ☀️ 🥵 🔥

But how could I resist a post for little Rosie today 😍

Now these Pooches get a bad rap in the grooming industry 😟 you see them in those awful videos that do the rounds - strapped up and struggling on a table or hanging in a hammock 😭

But ALL the Yorkies I groom without exception are superstars ⭐️ These little guys are brave, and clever and cheeky and as a self confessed Terrier observer rather than owner 😅 I love them! 😍

To all my lovely Pooch Parlour customers 🩷

This isn’t a post I’ve wanted to write, and I don’t do it lightly please let me assure you. BUT, with every single business cost I have rising, I do finally need to increase my prices.

I resisted jumping on January, and didn’t automatically April, but here we are almost 6 months into the year and it has to happen.

So there will be a £5 increase across all grooms with effect from 1st June 🫧 🛁 🐩

I’ve not had a general increase since I opened in 2023 and I hope you will still support my little business and trust me with your Pooches 🐾

You’ll still be assured of a 100% 1-2-1 service, grooms entirely tailored to your dog and their needs, premium products, freshly laundered towels for every individual dog, heating and air con, restraint free and force free methods and only the finest gravy bones and cuddles! 🩷

This afternoon we were lucky enough to be invited by the awesome Sensory Dogs to go along and try out their brand new sensory Garden Room 🌱 🐾

And I cannot tell you just HOW MUCH my dogs loved it. Both Jet who is nearly 3 and struggles with the world a little bit, and Spike who at 13 now has very limited sight 🐶

But here’s the thing… dogs ‘see’ the world through scent. Sniffing lowers their heart rate and helps regulate their nervous system; it’s a self soothing thing that releases feel good hormones.

And watching my two spend a solid 45 minutes just being dogs. No expectations on them. No conditioned behaviours. No pressure - just letting them be in their zone. Was tbh, quite emotional to watch in such a chilled out and relaxing environment. People spend a lot of money on therapy and self care - well I 100% recommend this as self care for both you and your dog!!! 🥹

Elderly, nervous, boisterous, young, reactive, happy… ALL dogs will benefit from the treat of just being a dog in a human world for 45 minutes. So book a session, grab a cuppa and sit back and watch your dogs do their thing! You won’t regret it , trust me 🩷
