Quick Cuts Dog Grooming

Wet then vet = how you deal with a dog suffering from heatstroke.

Overweight and brachycephalic dogs (e.g. Pugs and Bulldogs) are especially at risk of this potentially fatal issue.

Quickly wet the dog with cool water around 15 degrees (not freezing cold). If not available, any water that is cooler than the dog’s skin feels; this will promote cooling through evaporation. Do this before taking them to the vet but don't spend too much time on it. Avoid using wet towels on the dog as they can trap heat.

Afterwards, contact us about the situation and how long it will take you to arrive. This allows our team to prepare for your dog's arrival and increases their chances of receiving prompt treatment.

Albie 🩵

A very handsome cocker spaniel 🥰 he had a home haircut so came in to get tidied up ❤️

His mum still wanted him fluffy with no clipping, so he had a warm bubbly bath and a scissor trim all over 🫧

He was such a loving boy and with a big heart! ❤️ What a handsome boy!

Teddy 🧸

Little man’s first haircut 🥰 he did amazingly, and enjoyed himself with plently of cuddles and kisses ❤️

He’s had a few puppy intro grooms with me to slowly introduce him to the grooming process and each time he’s been more confident and comfortable! 🩵

Magic 🪄

It took all of his willpower and concentration to not wiggle too much so we could get a non blurry photo! 😁

Magic is such a happy boy, he is always so happy to see me and comes RUNNING in 🥰

Myrtle 🐢

She’s a crazy Cairn Terrier who has a huge amount of energy! 🤪

She was overdue a groom and her owners wanted at short but pretty haircut to make her look like a puppy again 🐶
She’s looking pig-ture perfect 🐽

Myrtle stood like a pro with her emotion support pig/daughter, “Pork Scratchings”🐷 and had plently of cuddles… and chicken 🍗 🥰
