Did you know that dental disease is one of the most common health problems in our pets? 🐶🐱 Keeping their teeth healthy can help prevent pain, infection and problems with eating.

At Redcar vets , we offer fixed-price dental procedures, making it easier to understand the cost of your pet’s dental treatment. 💗

Our dental stages are:

🦷 **Stage 1 – £329**
🦷 **Stage 2 – £499**
🦷 **Stage 3 – £749**
🦷 **Stage 4 – £1,049**

✅ **All stages include comprehensive blood work.**

If your pet has bad breath, yellow/brown build-up on their teeth, red or bleeding gums, difficulty eating, or is showing signs of mouth pain, they may need a dental check.

Say hello to the gorgeous Frank the Whippet puppy!💕🐶

Frank has been visiting us here at Redcar Vets since he was just 8 weeks old,and we’ve loved watching him grow into the handsome boy he is today! 🥰

Now at 6 months old, Frank came in for his FREE 6-monthly health check, with our team. It was lovely to see how much he has grown and to make sure he is happy, healthy and developing just as he should. ❤️

🐾 Happy Ending for Little T 🐾

Some of you may remember the tiny kitten that was handed in by a member of the public earlier in the year, after being found cold, alone and barely clinging to life in an industrial garage.

He was estimated to only be two weeks old, severely dehydrated and hyperthermic. At such a young age and in such a poorly condition, the odds were stacked against him.

Our team were determined to give him a fighting chance and after round the clock care he slowly started to grow stronger. Each step was a huge victory and before long his cheeky personality started to shine through.

Our amazing receptionist Sian volunteered to take him home for the night feeds and intensive care and despite being adamant that she was NOT having anymore cats, she soon fell in love with him. He was affectionately known as Little T, for little toe rag or little terror 🤭and the name stuck.

We are delighted to say he now has a home for life and is absolutely thriving. He regularly comes to work with Sian and we’ve all loved watching him grow into the beautiful, healthy cat he is today🐈‍⬛ . Sometimes the smallest patients leave the biggest impact on our hearts 💜

Meet Angel 👼 who came in for her kitten health check and to start her vaccinations.

🐈 Protecting your new kitten starts with prevention 🐈‍⬛

Vaccinations help keep kittens safe from serious illnesses like cat flu, leukaemia, calicivirosis, Panleucopenia and Rhinotrachetis. Vaccinating early gives your kitten the best chance at a long, healthy life.

Our kitten package is £86.99 and includes both vaccinations to fully protect your kitten for a year, plus a parasitic treatment for fleas, ticks and worms 🪱 💉

Spaying and neutering are just as important. These procedures can prevent certain cancers and infections and reduce unwanted behaviours like spraying, roaming and fighting. Millions of cats end up in rescues every year, and spaying or neutering is one of the most responsible choices a pet owner can make 💜🐾🐱
Cat Castrate: £80
Cat Spay: £145

Microchipping your cat is now a legal requirement in England. Cats must be microchipped by law by 20 weeks old. Failure to comply can result in a fine of up to £500. It is a simple injection that Implants a small chip under the skin with owners contact details, meaning the chances of being reunited with a lost pet is much higher. Even indoor cats can escape unexpectedly and a microchip provides a permanent identification that collars can’t.
Microchipping is £27 (or £20.49 if done at time of spay/neuter)

Meet the handsome Ginger Ninja, who strolled into the practice for his castration procedure this week 🥷 🧡

This lovely tom cat was an absolute pleasure to care for, who took everything in his stride, enjoyed plenty of fuss from our team, and very quickly was back to his happy, contented self and ready to head home 🏠

🐾 Why is it important to have your male cat castrated? 🐾
✔️ Reducing the urge to roam, helping keep your cat safer from road traffic accidents and getting lost
✔️ Lowering the risk of fighting with other cats, which can reduce bites, abscesses and the spread of disease such as FIV
✔️ Stops urine spraying and strong smelling territorial marking around the home
✔️ Prevents unwanted litters, helping to reduce the huge number of homeless and stray cats
✔️ Eliminates the risk of testicular cancer and reducing the likelihood of certain prostate problems.
