We have had a Black and white, large male entire, domestic shorthair, sadly brought in already deceased.

Everyone loves a feel-good reunion — and this one’s extra special! 💕

Meet Damien the cat, who went missing over six months ago while his family was preparing to move abroad. Just days before their big trip, Damien disappeared — leaving his owners heartbroken.

Fast forward to this weekend: a lovely local family brought in a friendly stray they’d been caring for and asked us to check for a microchip. To everyone’s surprise — it was Damien! 😻

Thanks to his microchip and up-to-date details, we were able to contact his owners right away. They even flew back to be reunited with their beloved boy today!

We’re wishing Damien and his family all the best as they start their next adventure together. ❤️

Appreciation Post 💙🐾

Today I want to take a moment to thank my incredible team at Poole 24hr Veterinary Practice.

My fur baby Lola had to be seen today after developing an abscess on a cyst on her back. Ophélie, our vet, ran bloods which showed some concerning values that needed further investigation. Sadly, a mass was found, and the team immediately took FNA samples and fast-tracked them for analysis.

As the practice manager, I see first-hand every day the exceptional care, skill, and compassion our vets and nurses give to every patient and client. What people often don’t see are the emotional moments behind the scenes — the tears after doing everything possible to save a pet, the late nights, the endless dedication, and the teamwork that never stops.

Today, my amazing colleagues were there not just for Lola, but for me too — with empathy, professionalism, and kindness that words can’t truly capture.

The team wanted to nominate Lola as Patient of the Day, but Lola and I would like to flip that around and nominate the entire Poole 24h team as Practice of the Day!

🐈what's your name and job role? Sian Lomas, I'm a Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA)

🐈What is your favourite pet? Cats are my favourite animal, especially my fur baby daisy

🐈What's the favourite part of your job? Helping the vets and nurses and the feeling that you have made a difference in saving an animal or making them feel better. Seeing them go home after being soo poorly is very rewarding.

🐈What colleague would you call if you were on a game show and why? Char because she may not the answer but will give a very witty answer!!!

As she was a little bit anxious we left her carrier with her so she could feel comfortable in a safe environment 😻
