May celebrates Veterinary Nursing Awareness Month. At Medivet Parkstone, we’re proud to have a small but highly skilled team of Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs) whose dedication makes an enormous difference every day.
Our RVNs work closely alongside our Veterinary Surgeons, playing a vital role in patient care. Their responsibilities are wide-ranging and highly specialised, including anaesthesia monitoring, phlebotomy, laboratory work, and running nursing clinics. They are often the reassuring presence for both patients and their owners, combining technical expertise with compassion.
While the title “Registered Veterinary Nurse” is not currently protected, becoming an RVN requires significant training, commitment, and ongoing professional development. Once qualified, RVNs receive badges that recognise their achievements and dedication to maintaining high standards within the profession.
This month, we want to recognise and thank our RVNs for their hard work, professionalism, and the essential role they play in delivering outstanding veterinary care.
We want to say a big thank you to our nurses and we hope you will join us in celebrating this month🎉🎉
