This little darling was named Cinderella by our nursing team.

She was brought in to us recently after colliding into a member of the public’s house. With some food, water, love and care from our nursing team we were able the re-release her into her natural habit.

Here at Medivet Parkstone we not only love to help your beloved companions but injured wildlife where possible

‼️Photos from surgery‼️

Nelson 🐈 has been very brave recently. After a wound on his foot that wouldn’t heal turned into a toe amputation, he has bounced back to normal life without a worry in the world.

The first image is the day of the procedure after we had completed surgery

The second image is of Nelson having his first post operative check with Vet Miguel

The final image is of Nelson on his final post operative check after having his bandage an sutures removed. He has bounced back to using his leg without a worry in the world!

Well done Nelson for being such a brave boy!❤️

May celebrates Veterinary Nursing Awareness Month. At Medivet Parkstone, we’re proud to have a small but highly skilled team of Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs) whose dedication makes an enormous difference every day.

Our RVNs work closely alongside our Veterinary Surgeons, playing a vital role in patient care. Their responsibilities are wide-ranging and highly specialised, including anaesthesia monitoring, phlebotomy, laboratory work, and running nursing clinics. They are often the reassuring presence for both patients and their owners, combining technical expertise with compassion.

While the title “Registered Veterinary Nurse” is not currently protected, becoming an RVN requires significant training, commitment, and ongoing professional development. Once qualified, RVNs receive badges that recognise their achievements and dedication to maintaining high standards within the profession.

This month, we want to recognise and thank our RVNs for their hard work, professionalism, and the essential role they play in delivering outstanding veterinary care.

We want to say a big thank you to our nurses and we hope you will join us in celebrating this month🎉🎉
